This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But don’t feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell. 2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic. 4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more. 9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks. 2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

Can only echo what has been said before; definitely like Punk IPA on steroids. I have been enjoying this brew for many years, and I've consumed it under the guise of Hardcore IPA, Mr. President and Tesco Finest IPA (lol). I hope they will pick a name and stick to it. This is truly sublime, and is one of my favorite nightcaps. It does not taste as strong as it is, and can be quite deceiving. Easily one of my favorites from BrewDog.

UPDATED: NOV 26, 2017 drank from bottle. best by March '16, so 1 3\4 years beyond that day. prominent pine and malt nose. maybe some pineapple? in the mouth, puckering butter as expected. residual alcohol sweetness is there but not as much as I expected given the ABV. pine and virus hope. finished but and surprisingly not sticky. for yet another variant on getting as much hope into a bottle as possible, this isn't bad.

UPDATED: NOV 21, 2017

Polecam

Mad Dog Martin (96) - - OCT 18, 2017
UPDATED: OCT 18, 2017 Mr President. Bottle from Supermarket. Pours brown with reddish hue and nice cream-coloured head. Quite high carbonation and a fruity, sweet aroma that hits you. Taste is very bitter and tart. A distinctive, strong, citrusy taste with cherries, marzipan and nettles. No, really!

beermastersasho (146) - - OCT 12, 2017
UPDATED: NOV 6, 2017 Nice, beer, really hardcore and aggressive, it is huge. A lot of aromas, hops, its a little bit like a barley-wine. It is complex. I think this beer is underrated. Bitter. Favourite of my mother.

It's like Punk IPA on steroids! A rich amber colour with citrusy, hoppy notes on the nose. Fruity grapefruit and toasty malt upon first taste before a hoppy bitterness kicks in with a definite taste of booze on the finish.
