This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But dont feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell. 2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic. 4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more. 9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks. 2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

Amber color, hazy to clear liquid, yellowish head. Bitter, medium sweetness. Sweet at the beginning, but its bitter after that. Bitterness is developing nicely, without sharp transition from sweet to bitter. Strong smell of herbs and a touch of grapefruit. Light carbonation, body full to medium. Very good.

UPDATED: MAR 28, 2017 (330ml bottle) Clear, deep amber beer, with a foamy white head. Good levels of carbonation, producing large bubbles, and a slick, medium mouthfeel. Big hoppy aroma of pine needles, grapefruit, some mango, lychee, and apricot kernel. Balanced with syrupy honey, toffee and slight biscuity malts, before a dry finish. Pleasant DIPA; and a seriously bitter one this isnt a beer for balance, its a smack in the face.

Bottle as Mr. President, from Tesco. I hadnt seen this for a while - good to have it back on the shelves. I wonder if theyre regretting the name change considering events? Pours dark golden, going on reddish, small head that sticks around. Big and sweet, not overpowering, although I imagine it is meant to be. Pine, bubblegum, citrus in general (without being able to pin down any actual fruits), cough medicine but the kind of cough medicine you had when you were a kid. Nothing out of the ordinary though, and while its really good stuff in the grand scheme of things, there are better in the style. But then, I cant get 2 in my local supermarket. I really rated this stuff back in the day, but this was the only beer I could find like this back then, so thats not surprising. Seem to remember somebody at BrewDog saying the Tesco American DIPA was a different brew to Hardcore IPA - slightly different recipe?

Aromat żywiczny, tropik, lekko alkohol. Idealniee klarowne, Bursztyn. W smaku dominuje goryczka, słodowość i niestety czuć alkohol. Troche grejpfrutw od gorzyczki, ale zdecydowanie za mało owocw i tropiku, jest za to żywica, las iglasty. Największy plus to mocna goryczka i bardzo krtka. Spodziewałem się czegoś więcej.

Bottle from Tesco Express near City Centre, Glasgow. Beer served in 8C, Teku Glass. Alias name: Mr. President. This was my biggest BrewDog disappointment. I was enjoying Hardcore IPA before, it was one of my favourites hop bombs to try. But... this time beer taste like dishwasher liquid, with glucose-fructose syrup, or sugar body. Hops were so artificial, more like aromas that goes wrong, than a real american hops. With my big respect to BrewDog, this was a mistake, I was first time in my life spilled almost whole glass content to the sink.

UPDATED: MAR 20, 2017 Barwa bursztynowa, piana średnia i opada. Aromat herbaty, żywicy, mango, ananas i inne owoce tropikalne. W smaku mega zbalansowana słodycz i żywiczność z cytrusową goryczką. Goryczka krtka i konkretna. W wyczuwalne karmel, toffi, żywica i herbata. Super pifko.

Bottle. Pours amber with foamy white head. Aroma is fruity, with grapefruit and orange, also has some malt and caramel. Taste has caramel, fruits (again grapefruit & orange), hops and some malt. Bitterness is very good in here. Pretty good imperial IPA.

Flaske p Humle og Bier. Aroma sitrus, karamell, malt, humle, grape. Godt l
