This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But dont feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell. 2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic. 4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more. 9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks. 2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

Draught at Bishops Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm. Pours out in a shady reddish amber colour with a small creamy white head. Hoppy and rather sappy aroma of pine, resin, plums,, Sevilee oranges with hints of caramel. Nearly full-bodied with notes of bittersweet notes of pine, resin, red grapefruit,, mango, Seville oranges and caramel. Well-hidden alcohol but a bit rough carbonation. Bitter finish of of grass, pine, grapefruit and sweetish notes of Seville oranges. Much better than their earlier version but nits still not over 4.0.

Piwo bursztynowe, klarowne z małą białą pianą. W aromacie żywica, tropikalne owoce, nuty kwiatowe, miodowe. W smaku podobnie owoce, kwiaty, delikatny miodek plus dosyć intensywna grejpfrutowa goryczka. Alkohol niewyczuwalny. Dobre piwo.

Caramel and resin notes dominating the aroma. Some citrussy and alcohol hints. Full bodied, caramel sweet with long astringent bitterness. Too much caramel in aroma and taste for me, but overall still a good beer

On tap @ Brewdog Barcelona. Clearish copper with short lasting white, small head. Tropical fruits aroma. Starts sweet and evolves to medium bitter. Mango, grapefruit, honey and resin flavours. Medium body, average carbonation. Lingering hoppy.

Bottle. Deep amber going into red. Nice, lightly creme head, that disappears quickly. Aromas: citrus, caramel, strawberry, spices, tobacco, hops. Medium body, syrupy. Little sweet, malty with bitter finish. Little to hardcore to me.

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2017 Pours clear deep amber with champagne coloured head that reduces to a lace very quickly.Low carbonation. Aroma is pine and iron/metallic - OK but not what you hope for in a hoppy double IPA. Taste is toasty malt, burnt toffee (as described) followed by bitter grapefruit, pine and some blueberry hop followed by alcohol. Bittersweet with a lingering astringent bitterness. OK, but not great; Poor aroma and indistinctive hop taste

Barwa bursztynowa, piwo idealnie klarowne. Piana skąpa, kremowa. Aromat intensywnie chmielowy - żywica, tytoń, niedojrzałe cytrusy. W smaku delikatna biszkoptowa słodycz i wysoka, lekko zalegająca, tytoniowa goryczka.
