This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But don’t feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell. 2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic. 4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more. 9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks. 2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

On tap Copper colour, thin head, low carbonation, small bubble. Nice and complex nose of sweet malts and hops. Taste is very rich, complex and long, however it’s not my taste as the complex taste isn’t well balanced. But I appreciate the beer, it’s an other example for seaching the edges of innovations and creating new tastes.

Bottle. Aroma of citrusy hops, grapefruit zest, grapes, strong malty caramel. Full body, thick maltiness with huge bitterness. If U like heavy, full bodied iipa its perfect

The sweetness at the beginning is deceiving as the aftertaste is quite bitter with an little of alcohol too, but under control and not overwhelming. Not the best Imperial IPA I’ve had, but very well done. Get it before it’s too late..

Nice amber color with a beige foamy, short-lived head. Great aroma with a balanced mix of sticky sweet caramel and toffee malts and heaps of grapefruit peel hops. Rich and thick, sweet malts fill the mouth, the caramel is sticky sweet but gives way to industrial strength hops. Alcohol warming on the way down. Wow, this is one potent brew! I’m digging this one!

Bursztynowe, nieprzejrzyste. Bardzo ładna piana. Drobne i gęsta. W aromacie głównie iglaki, cytrusy. W smaku grapefruitowa goryczka. Znakomite!

Aroma: Karamel zoete mout, toffee, brood/biscuit, pijnboom, hars, hoppig, Citrus, grapefruit, mango, ananas. Smaak: Een booming in your face bitter, grassig en netelig, pijnboom/hars.

Bottle at Smokie’s, Pezinok. Extraordinary aroma, hops, raisins, citruses, all strong and beautiful. Clear amber colour with short white head. Rich taste, hops, obligatory citruses, bit of honey, higher bitterness, quite a lot of alcohol in finish. Very nice.

Labeled as Mr President at Tesco. Pours a clear amber, use of caramalt very obvious here. Off white head that doesn’t last long. Nose of alcohol fumes, toffee, caramel and resin. Upfront bitterness but quite smooth throughout with a lingering bitter finish. Well malt balanced with biscuit and toffee coming through gently with the resinous hops. Not a massive hit of aroma but hides the booze well with balance.

UPDATED: AUG 7, 2017 This starts so promising -- strong citrus and pine hops from what is clearly a ton of American hops -- but there's a noticeable toffee/caramel sweetness that quickly starts to overpower. Too boozy, too, which gives it an alcohol burn.
