Bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a beige head. Decent lacing. Aroma is pine hops on a malty background, with flowery notes and an off-note which reminds me of garlic (!) without actually being garlic. Fruity notes and a touch of alcohol appear as it warms, while the garlic-thing disappears. Flavour is smoked and malty with fruity and alcohol notes. Hops mucking about in the background. As it warms the smoked notes are diminished. Smoked notes continue in the finish, as well as the fruity notes. Alcohol and a lingering notes of liquorice as it warms. Lingering grassy notes as well. Slightly oily palate. Not bad, but could be better. 15.09.10. Dedollewaitor (16233) - Odense, DENMARK - SEP 13, 2010
Draught @ Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Pours unclear orange with a small creamy lasting head. Lots of fresh hops and malts. Caramel, yeast and a note of rubber. Dry citrussy and crisp flavor. Good! lassem (652) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 12, 2010
Bottle from Ølbutikken, Copenhagen. Dark kobber colour topped with a firm off white head that stays along. Heavy hopped aroma full of blooming flowers and fruity notes backed with a markedly malty base. Taste is strong and has alot to offer. The malt is up front but still well balanced with the hopps that tends to create a heavy bitterness. The mouthfeel is thick and creamy compared to the style. Its a fresh and very nice beer that would be a hit to serve among cheese of some caracter. I know I will. Jaksmart (454) - Aarhus, DENMARK - SEP 9, 2010
Bottle. Clear amber colour, small white head. Aroma is quite hoppy with lots of lime and some lemon, pine and grass. Very potent, dry and punchy! Taste is equally hoppy, quite dry with a fairly strong sweetness, followed by the strong, hoppy bitterness. Also some pineapple, if i’m not mistaken. Big body, long duration, low-medium carbonation. thebeertourist (5189) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 8, 2010
Bottle from Ølbutikken. Hazy copper, off-white head. Delicious grassy, citrussy and earthy hop aroma. Caramel flavours gets severely challenged by intense earthy and fruity hops. Good carbonation. Very intense for a Brit and definitely hardcore.
