single hop simcoe IPA
This Christmas, wish for a green Christmas. Where flurries of hop flakes blanket the world like you’ve never seen it before. And crunching through crisp, sparkling drifts releases billows of pineapple, citrus and papaya with every step. The reign of the snow angel is over. Long live the hop angel where parks and playgrounds become adorned with the outlines of celestial beings that fell to Earth from angry looking emerald clouds. Tune in to breakfast TV to find life’s on hold for 24 hours as this ’hop day’ demands you rocket down a hill on the back of a baking tray. Or simply raise a glass of this festive IPA as we wish you a very hoppy Christmas.

Tried in bottle from Real Ale Newark. Nice hoppy. See to see in the new year. Fruity Hop aroma and taste. Nice enough.

Drunk on tap in Berlin Brewdog. Another bloody hoppy beer. Another bloody hoppy beer. Yes, another one. I enjoyed this as I like hoppy beers and this was exactly that. My main surprise was upon receiving the drink; it was not a dark beer. Why they released a pale, hoppy beer at Christmas is anyone’s guess. Messing with hundreds of years of winter brewing traditions. Punk.

Off white frothy head stayed well on a highly effervescent golden body. Spicy, hoppy, fruity, citrus aroma. Thick body feel - airy on the palate. Spicy peppery, grapefruit very Tropical

Amber golden colour, with nice white creamy head. Full-flavour malt and hops aroma of caramel, peach, tangerines and alcohol. Taste is tropical fruit, caramel and high bittery. Sweetie malty start, middle is garden berries, grepfruit, tangerine or tropical fruits. Zesty, herby, citrus and bitter finnish. All the time feels alcohol. Fruit tones is lighter than malts, nice combination of citrusy and sweet fruits in taste and aroma.

Hoppy Christmas everyone! A fabulous beer, perhaps not their hoppiest but still very enjoyable. A pineapple flavour as it slips down smoothly. The maltiness is subtle and caramel flavoured. I’d like a bigger hit of hops but this is so drinkable I don’t mind. At 7.2% though ’you’d better watch out... You’d better not cry!’

Bottle poured into Spiegelau IPA glass. Pours clear amber with quickly vanishing white head. Nose of pine, citrus, resin. Taste is moderately bitter, grassy herbal, pineapple, passionfruit. Finish is more on the grassy side...

Corpo medio-leggero, mediamente carbonata, estremamente beverina.
