Long live the hop angel where parks and playgrounds become adorned with the outlines of celestial beings that fell to Earth from angry looking emerald clouds. Tune in to breakfast TV to find lifes on hold for 24 hours as this hop day demands you rocket down a hill on the back of a baking tray. Or simply raise a glass of this festive IPA as we wish you a very hoppy Christmas.

Sampled at Nrb lfestival 2013 as Voodoo Doll. Almost clear golden with an off-white head. Quite strong citric aroma with pine and some caramel malt. Flavor is refreshing fruity, pine, some marmalade and rather bitter. Medium body and bitter, fruity aftertaste. Another fine IPA from Brewdog.

Tap@bdsthlm. Coppery slight hazy. Really fruity, fruit desserty. Mangos, pineapple juice, tangerines. Feels actually quite fanta- like at times, for those who know that pop. Bitter super fruity body. Not much malts, only fruity hops in flavour. A very soda like beer. Nice to try, but I dont think I could do a session with it.

Very strong aroma of tropical fruits. Flavour also has that fruity, hoppyness too. Quite thick and syrupy. Sweet fruitiness, mild bitterness in the aftertaste.

Bottle 33cl, a clear amber beer with good head. Nose is very hopy on pine. Aroma is on fresh hops, melon, almond and grapefruit. Properly done but very near the other new beer from the brewery, became boring.

Clean amber bodied and stable head. Very piney which Im sure was the idea behind a hoppy Christmas. Not woody or spicy, as typical Christmas beers, but a clean hop based beer thats rather refreshing than warming. Body is light bitter for the style and a bit too clean to be interesting. And a Christs beer can be eccentric and over the top. This isnt. This is a clean ipa that drinks nice enough but reminds me nothing of a special, warming, wintery or eclectic Christmas spirit. More of an after work thirst quencher. (33cl bottle from Bootlegger)
