single hop simcoe IPA
This Christmas, wish for a green Christmas. Where flurries of hop flakes blanket the world like you’ve never seen it before. And crunching through crisp, sparkling drifts releases billows of pineapple, citrus and papaya with every step. The reign of the snow angel is over. Long live the hop angel where parks and playgrounds become adorned with the outlines of celestial beings that fell to Earth from angry looking emerald clouds. Tune in to breakfast TV to find life’s on hold for 24 hours as this ’hop day’ demands you rocket down a hill on the back of a baking tray. Or simply raise a glass of this festive IPA as we wish you a very hoppy Christmas.

Keg at Brewdog Camden. Amber / dark orange with a thin off white head. Exoctic fruit aromas, little bit of sweetness as well. Hop bitterness is biting, but mellows a lot when it warms up slightly. Malt and hop are well balanced. Medium body and slightly chewy / resinous.

Rune (13646) - Tromsø, NORWAY - NOV 17, 2013
UPDATED: NOV 21, 2013 330ml bottle, as Voodoo Doll, 6.8 % abv, bought at Vinmonopolet Sentrum Tromsø. The body is almost clear and has got a dark golden colour. Slightly off-white head that stays and laces well. Fresh smell of grapefruit and pine. Smooth taste profile of herbs, peach, lemon and grapefruit accomplished by soft, malty sweetness. Rounded bittersweet finish. Very smooth on the swallow. A good, session-like, IPA (Tromsø 17.11.2013).
