single hop simcoe IPA
This Christmas, wish for a green Christmas. Where flurries of hop flakes blanket the world like you’ve never seen it before. And crunching through crisp, sparkling drifts releases billows of pineapple, citrus and papaya with every step. The reign of the snow angel is over. Long live the hop angel where parks and playgrounds become adorned with the outlines of celestial beings that fell to Earth from angry looking emerald clouds. Tune in to breakfast TV to find life’s on hold for 24 hours as this ’hop day’ demands you rocket down a hill on the back of a baking tray. Or simply raise a glass of this festive IPA as we wish you a very hoppy Christmas.

I bought this at Amstein, I drank it at Paris, in my room hotel. In my personnal view, it is an interesting IPA, I could say original for the style maybe it is due the simcoe hop. The taste is at the beginning a bit tough but after it is showing pleasant notes of bitterness, there is a side mineral, slightly sour, hoppy, grapefruit notes, few touch of mango, malt, normal carbonation, thin and white foam, a bit watery and the final is a bit dry. It is a regular one not the most easy for the beginners in this huge world of the beer.

Pleasant, strongly hopped and piney but a bit lacking in body and character with a slightly chemical aftertaste. Vague dried fruit and orange flavours give it the Xmas vibe

sinte (582) - Udine, ITALY - FEB 23, 2017
Bottle 0.33L. Slightly hazy, amber body with an average, creamy, off-white head, mostly lasting with some nice lacing. Moderate-to-heavy hoppy (grapefruit) and light-to-moderate malty aroma with notes of fruits. Moderate-to-heavy bitter and moderate sweet flavour with an average-to-long lasting bitter finish. Medium body with oily texture; soft carbonation.

I guess it’s Christmas in Brussels in February. Slightly opaque bronze. Creamy little head. Colossal pineapple aroma. Taste is a bevy of tropical fruit with a moderate level of sweetness and a slightly dry finish.
