Oblivious to accountants interfering and conventional corporate wisdom we do not cut corners like other Lager producers and use malt substitutes like corn and rice to keep our costs down. Our Lager has 100% malt base providing an fresh, sharp initial sweetness and a body and flavour, which endures where others prematurely disappear into a watery bland grave. A combination of the finest German and New Zealand hops add subtle tropical fruit notes and add complexity and depth to this most statuesque of Lagers.

33 cL bottle, thanks to thewolf. Pours almost pale yellow with a lacing white head. Light peach fruity aroma. Flavour is mild spiced and hoppy. Has a light spiced note into the finish. Gains a mild bitterness into the finish too. Very light and minimally hopped beer - Scotish Klsch?

Cask at the Leicester Beer Festival. This was my second cask lager of the night, and although its enjoyable, I still favour blonde ales. HopRocker has a good pale golden colour and an aroma of grass and hops. The flavour has some earthy qualities but is dominated by fruit, especially grapefruit or orange hop notes. Very good for a lager, which is far from being my favourite beer style.

DruncanVeasey (8063) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JAN 19, 2008
Bottled. Very pale and faintly misty. Grassy, lemony, slightly sweaty hop aroma. Intense, mandarin-accented hop (pellet?) biiterness not a million miles from Wesvleteren Blond. Honeyish, floral, but above all hoppily biitter. IBUs challenging the Punk IPA. Full-on, tasty, slightly biting lager/pilsner/blond with a splash too much quinine.
