COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled;
Oblivious to accountant’s interfering and conventional corporate wisdom we do not cut corners like other Lager producers and use malt substitutes like corn and rice to keep our costs down. Our Lager has 100% malt base providing an fresh, sharp initial sweetness and a body and flavour, which endures where others prematurely disappear into a watery bland grave. A combination of the finest German and New Zealand hops add subtle tropical fruit notes and add complexity and depth to this most statuesque of Lagers.

Gold with a white head. Hop and fruit in the aroma. Taste has grapefruit and nettles and a mid bitter finish. Plus a hint of alcohol at the back of the throat that I didn’t particularly like. Different but not entirely satisfactory.

OStreetBrewery (120) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - APR 23, 2008
Bottle, Pours a light gold with a quickly disappearing white head. Aroma is totally dominated by a huge dirty butterscotch character with a hint of grassy hops. On the palate the butterscotch is joined by a smoky note, a hint of sourness and a late bitterness. Diacetyl bomb.

33 cL bottle, thanks to thewolf. Pours almost pale yellow with a lacing white head. Light peach fruity aroma. Flavour is mild spiced and hoppy. Has a light spiced note into the finish. Gains a mild bitterness into the finish too. Very light and minimally hopped beer - Scotish Kölsch?

albertane (377) - Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - MAR 15, 2008
Cask at the Leicester Beer Festival. This was my second cask lager of the night, and although it’s enjoyable, I still favour blonde ales. HopRocker has a good pale golden colour and an aroma of grass and hops. The flavour has some earthy qualities but is dominated by fruit, especially grapefruit or orange hop notes. Very good for a lager, which is far from being my favourite beer style.
