One of our favourite American hops; all about the fruit. Think blood orange, orange zest and citrussy goodness fruit, the fruit is balanced by floral notes in the most classic of new wave IPA hops.

ALLOVATE (3087) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUN 4, 2015
A little past its drink-by date, but the others have stood the test of time so onwards and upwards.
At just on cool and into a snifter. Slight haze to a deep, burnished orange body. Head depletes with just as much haste as it plumed. Aroma is deeply resinous with plump fruit like blood orange, tangerine and apricot nectar with a lot of sweet and tangy stewed rhubarb and plums. Plummy and jammy on the palate. Hops have melded into the biscuity malt profile. Alcohol is held at bay in the fruity, sticky swallow. Quite yeasty unlike the others but that is down to age. Slightly medicinal (cough medicine) in the aftertaste. Yeah, didn’t hold up too well. Quite thin but sweet and sticky. Hops have faded to esters. Bitterness is low. Would have been a cracker fresh. I’ll stick with the Comet! (33cL, BB 11/03/15, The Liquor Shed, Jandakot)

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks Shmupi. Hazy amber, white ring. Marzipan and bubblegum aroma, a little sweet, bubblegum taste. Medium body, fizzy, bubblegum-like finish.

MrBlueSky93 (535) - Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - MAY 20, 2015
Bottle from Brewdog. Pours orange, single finger white head. Aroma of light spice, then some light malts and loads of citrus! Taste of initial light malts, slightly grainy, then orange, lemon, pine, grass, herb. Very nice!

tomer (3845) - Rishon Le Zion, ISRAEL - MAY 3, 2015
At a tasting, thanks, almost no head, light hazy orange color, aroma of orange marmalade and biscuit with some hay, fruity biscuity flavor with a citrusy hint, light to medium bitterness and sourness. A little old and not too exciting.

the aroma is fruity and spicy with hints of citrus, pine and grasses... the taste is bright, malty and fruity with notes of orange, pine needles, tropical fruits and resin... rich hopping... sweet, bitter and dry aftertaste...

Habanero (4908) - Tranbjerg, DENMARK, DENMARK - APR 23, 2015

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. Hazy golden coloured with orange marmalade and toffee flavours followed by a smooth, creamy zesty orange finish. Superb!

RodrigoPacheco (131) - Nova Lima, BRAZIL - MAR 29, 2015
This one is a good example of the power of american hops. One of the best ones from IPA is dead series. Fruity and bitter.

nihtila (3999) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 14, 2015
19.4.2014. Clear pale colour, no head. Aroma has exotic fruits, peach, tangerine, zest. Taste is soft, very fruity, citrus, some pine. I guess this could be called well balanced and "pure", also rather straightforward. If nothing too spectacular, nothing bad either. Easy to drink, good.
