2013 Single-hop release. Part of the IPA is dead series. Single hopped with Amarillo @6.9%
Re-Released as part of 2014 selection. @7.2%
One of our favourite American hops; all about the fruit. Think blood orange, orange zest and citrussy goodness fruit, the fruit is balanced by floral notes in the most classic of new wave IPA hops.

33 cl bottle.
Pours clear golden color with a medium sized head. Aroma is grape fruity and somewhat resinous with hops, mild orange zest and pine needle notes also. Flavor is caramelous and tropically fruity, a bit sweet but the grape fruits cut it through a bit, mild piney notes with hay and dried fruits. Thick oily palate, doesnt feel quite fresh but definitely the best of the bunch. Hop profile ok, a bit too sweet and resinous.

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, golden colour with a medium-sized and slightly tanned foamy head. Grapefruit-, citrus-fruity hoppy aroma with notes of pine and spruce. Bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Sweet cara-malty taste with a drying piney/resiny and slightly fruity hop kick; quite rounded sweet malty and spicy hoppy finish. Runner up in this years IPA series right after Comet Imo. 15.V.14

Clear dark orange beer, fizzy irregular yellow head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, some melons, caramel, sweet. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish, pretty bitter, fruity, pineapple, citrus, bit metallic. Aftertaste: metallic, bitter, little medicinal bitterness. Not bad at all!

Keg, BrewDog Brum, 29/06/13. Copper orange piled with intricate lacing froth. Peach iced tea and sponge nose. Better, nicely stewed hop tea flavour with peach, biscuit, mint and Darjeeling snorts. Real nice.

Svesse (7949) - Hsselby, SWEDEN - APR 26, 2014
(Draught at BrewDog Camden, London, 9 Apr 2014) Pale amber colour with brief, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, tea, lemon peel and biscuity malt. Malty, fruity taste with citrus, tea, lemon peel, a slightly sharp and metallic malt profile and a generous citric bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well made, possibly a bit one dimensional. Nice one.
