3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
330ml bottle bought from the local delicatessen. At first didn’t think it had that powerful an aroma but a previous reviewer comments of rotten cabbage seems apt. For me, the maltiness dominates with a slight citrus taste in the background. Nowhere near as bitter as some of the others beers in this range. As a result, much more drinkable and feels like a more rounded beer rather than an experiment.

From the very old notes, hence this is not a real rating, but more just a mark to myself that I have tried this at one point. Herbal and dry bitter brew, not bad. wekker84 (2360) - etten-leur, NETHERLANDS - DEC 12, 2014

IPA’s are real hop bombs - generally. And this is due to their hop cocktail. This one hasn’t a hop cocktail. It’s brewed with a single hop variety: Waimea. The taste is interestingly not as hoppy as you might think, due to the Waimeas soft character. The bitterness is well ’wrapped’ in a fresh sweetness. An uncommon but very pleasent combination. Just like a honey-ice drop.
One hop can be enough! The Waimeas character is very soft - uncommon for an IPA but very tasty! Svesse (8597) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - SEP 22, 2014
(Bottle) Hazy amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruit, some caramel and a touch of resin. Malty, fruity taste with citrus, grapefruit, orange peel, dried apricots and hints of resin in a finish with a certain bitterness. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Tasty and well balanced with a fresh, citric hop character. Nice one. hackobock (4029) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 21, 2014
