Ruthless India Pale Ale
Start with a colossal grapefruit aroma. Pile on bitterness after thumping bitterness, and ride the anarchy wherever it takes you. The caramel razor is sharp, but the resinous bite drills straight through your taste buds. For revelling in the mediocre, raising hell and reaping the commercial rewards, Jack Hammer is the end of the line. The hopped-up, pucker-mouthed terminal extreme of craft brewing. This beer is bitter. Very bitter. If you push that button, don’t say we didn’t warn you…
Ingredients: Extra Pale malt, Centennial & Columbus hops, dry hopped to 200+ theoretical IBUs with Citra, Amarillo and Simcoe.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a clear deep golden with a small white head. Tight citrusy hop aroma - a little herbal. Medium body, very citrusy and very, very bitter - bordering astringent. Gets greasy and pungent. Less aggressive hops please. 140113

Brewdog Camden. Hazy amber - gold beer. Tidy cream white head. Palate is smooth, slight soft and with good fine carbonation. Nice creamy malt base. Hops are a lovely mix of orange marmalade, fresh orange, mango and peach and a good twist of very mild hop skunk. All flavours really well balanced. Traces of pine and grass and a little fresh hop sting. Finishes smooth with good hop bitterness. I think this is 5th time in 2012 I’ve given a Brewdog IPA 4.0 or above. Good stuff!
