COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled, occasional
Libertine Black Ale is a 7.2% wickedly decadent black beast of a beer that has been hammered with the epic Simcoe hop. With a drinkability that defies its colour and depth of flavour, Libertine delivers a dark hop bomb combining the west coast hop awesomeness of an IPA, the dark and indulgent malt flavours of big stout with a lightness on the palate that bellies the punch that this beer packs. Bags of flavour and loads of hops. We intend to bottle some of this batch for those not lucky enough to make it to a BrewDog Bar to try it. ABV from 7% to 7.2%.

[6403-20140628] Tap. Mild smoked fish aroma. Slightly hazy, dark dark brown red body with a ll foamy mocha head. Smoky cedar and chlorinated metallic pool noodle flavour. Roasted multigrain bread flavour has a lingering malty finish. Full body. Odd, not a fan at first. (6/4/6/3/13) 3.2

Another beer from Brewdog thats full of surprise and packed with flavour. The simcoe hop hits home soon after the pour. Not floral, not citrus. Peachy perhaps and powerful. The head is nothing special for a dark beer. The taste is the deepest blackberry, with dark cherry and mellow malt. The Finnish is raspingly dry which could be slightly toned back. And the ABV, well its wine really isnt it? And with the size of the bottle thats the way Im gonna treat it.,

This is a solid brew, Nice toasted choco malts. The hoppiness could be a bit stronger, a bit more piny bitterness

0,33 l bottle. Black in the glass, small beige head. Fresh clear floral hop on the nose. Starts hopy with licorice and coffee. Fruity hints with citrus in the middle part. Easy to drink, hidden alcohol but never watery.

Brune trs fonce. Mousse marron claire relativement persistante, beau lacings. Carbonantation agrable. Trs bonne IPA.

Draught at BrewDog Camden on 23 Jun 2012. Poured a very dark ruby, with a thin, but dense beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, grapefruit and pine needles. Coffee in the flavour, with citrus hops and some berries. Full mouthfeel. Finish was burnt malt, lingering hop resin and burnt sugar.
