The beer we brewed was devised by Tim Anderson and is a Lumberjack Breakfast Stout. A decadent, indulgent and encapsulating malt base that benefits from the addition of oats and smoked malt in the mash tun. Generous amounts of blueberries and maple syrup was added to the kettle during the boil and we added some killer artisinal coffee at the end of the boil. Oh and we also added some bacon.

Wow! Draught at Doghouse Glasgow. Pours like death, tastes like heaven! Sweet vanilla, bourbon, slight woodiness. Still not overly thick, lovely sweet aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dracks på Brewdogbar Södermalm. Som en bomb i munnen. Elegant, vacker och smakrik. Borde drickas till en god, söt efterrätt.

_angst_ (4802) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUN 8, 2015
Draught @ Mikkeller & Friends. Pours black with a rather small frothy dark mocha head that leaves some spotty sticky trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty with roasted malts, burnt caramel, toasted cereal, sweetened dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, moist soil, coffee hard candy, dried blueberries and hints of burnt wood. Taste is sweet, bitter and malty. Mouthfeel is soft, viscous, round, slightly cloying, tiny boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with roasted malts, burnt caramel, dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, moist soil, burnt wood, maple syrup and hints of alcohol. Bit too sweet and syrupy...

Keg at Mikkeller & Friends, BD takeover, poured by Duff from Ratebeer ! 30/04/15. Pitch black with a decent tan cap that dissipates to edgework. Nose is rich roast, charr, raisens, dark fruit rinds, spice, chocolate malt. Taste comprises light smoke, toffee fudge, biscuit, toffee fudge, chocolate. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok impy, a drinkable number but lacks depth when the ABV is considered.

Keg, Brewdog, Leicester. Near black with a thin beige head. Aromas are earthy, rich roast coffee with dark chocolate and berries. Peppery and spicy with smoky whisky barrel character. Liquorice and cola with meaty soy sauce notes. Flavours are earthy soy sauce with bitter dark chocolate and rich coffee. Meaty smokiness with warming, pepper alcohol and sweet weetabix and toffee in the background. Some herbal liquorice. Funky dark berries with a spicy finish. Great.
