In protest against the potential withdrawal of the USA from the Paris agreement, we've brewed a saison (which ferments at high temperatures) with melted ice caps (glacier water) and cloudberries (an Arctic berry).

Make Earth Great Again is a imperial strength saison, with spicy and bright citrus notes of spiced orange, nutmeg, clove, and caramelised banana, with a dry yet warming body and a hint of acidity to balance the sweet notes.

All proceeds from Make Earth Great Again will be donated to 10:10, a charity lobbying for legislative changes to tackle climate change.

Extreem helder, geel biertje. Bijna transparant. Dik schuim. Zoet, niet echt sterk van smaak. Beetje hoppig, wel lekker fris.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Yoav's place. Thanks Yoav and troubles. Clear light gold. Hoppy perfume, some mango aroma, bitter and then a little sweet and honey taste. Medium body, long, more sweet than bitter finish.

Brewdog can be quite gimmicky and their punk ethos at this point is bullshit but they make mostly solid brews with their AB series being generally good/interesting. Besides the price point, I like that they bring in 660ml bombers to Japan at around 1000¥. At that price they tend to sell out fast so I’m glad I snagged this one for the crazy label. Brewdog Make America Great Again A 7.5% Imperial saison, for some reason I thought it was an IPA... lightly cloudy gold with a fizzy eggshell-white head. The aroma is spice, sweet tarts and wheat cakes. Good barnyard cat puss like funk. Medium to light bodied and dry. The beer is just a touch too boozy for a Saison. The taste is similar to the aroma with added honey, wheat and white wine grape character. Alright but for me it’s all about the label and that part of the proceeds go to an NPO to help the environment. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

660mL bottle from Oldfield Cellars (wedding present) 7.5% BB 17/09/18 Pale straw pour, reasonable clarity for a Saison, big billowy head. Distinctly spicy aroma upfront - white pepper, get sort of ripe pear esters, sultana, white grape, bread dough, floral undertones. Medium weight, palate drops away slightl, drying without being chalky, lively carbonation but a soft sort of fine bead to it. Flavours are quite subtle overall - get that nice dough, bread white malt character with hints of pepper & clove, grass & herbs, ripe orchard fruits. Reasonable bitterness to cap it off. Not sure what a cloudberry tastes like - didn't really get much that would suggest it!? Nice enough Saison anyway.

Yellow, clear with nice white foam. Sour, fruit banana, in the aroma. Spice, banana fruit caramel with mild but nicly hoppy aftertaste. A bit watery.
