Strong aromas of dark fruits. Raisins and plums. Can probably agree that the taste is the same. Even strong too. Incredibly heavy bitterness in the aftertaste that fills the mouth for a long while. I did not feel of any alcohol the beer has such a high alcohol percentage. Good beer but one should perhaps share this with anyone. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings. Aroma: bourbon, intense caramel malts, toffee apple, pine. Appearance: clear brown, small, creamy, beige head. Taste: heavy sweet. Palate: alcohol, initially overpowering sweets continue, sticky jam, sugar syrup, overripe fruits, getting dry in the finish. Overall: very intense, excellent complexity and depth. Bottle from BrewDog, Clapham Junction. hawanna (3301) - Freising, GERMANY - FEB 19, 2015

Bottle at home, nice artwork. Clear dark amber colour, beige foamy head that quickly slims down. Rich and complex aroma and taste (wow!), big on sweet caramel, molasses, candied sugar, honey and red dessert/porto wine tones, dried fruits like raisins and plums, vanilla, cask notes and some nice whiskey tones, boozy burn and bitterness, extra boosted by the resinous hops. Long boozy and sweet finish, light anice and liquorice. Great balance in flavours. Low carbonation, soft mouthfeel, almost sticky oily, full body. Amazing ale, qualifies as a barley wine imo. jd543 (428) - SCOTLAND - JAN 22, 2015
Clear red, with a thin beige head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, earthy hops, whisky. Taste is sweet, caramel, light bitter finish, rich. Thick oily texture, low carbonation, full bodied. Pretty good.

apricot jam, earthy, caramel, alcohol aromas from a dark bronze colour body with no head. stong bitter sweet jam flavour quite chewy but still good, alcohol burn isnt too bad considering its strength. actually rather drinkable. Idiosynkrasie (7533) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JAN 5, 2015
330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, claret violet colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Resinous hoppy aroma is interspersed with oak and vanilla notes, fruity hints of plum, raisin, morello cherry, candied citrus fruit, some caramel and toffee. Taste delivers similar notes, permanently oscillating, you get what you decide to focus on; well hidden alcohol. Rich and complex, clean and precise - excellent. From 0,33l bottle, Pours cloudy dark red to brown liquid, small smooth tan head, Aroma: rich aroma of candied fruits, raisin, cranberries, alcohol, strawberries, wood, Taste: heavy sweet, medium bitter, dry, fruity - strawberries, cranberries, some citrus notes - mainly orange, candied fruits/raisins, biscuit maltiness, Palate: full body, oily texture, soft carbonation, long sweet candied aftertaste, Overall: excellent brew, complex in aroma as well in the taste, would appreciate if the sweetness would be better incorporated, and the barrel ageing would me more distinctive (actually I only retained some woody notes in the aroma), but all the way perfect :) enjoyed. ghendrix (153) - Rochester, New York, USA - JAN 1, 2015
Bottle at home, pours honey brown with thin white head, vanishes quickly. Looks like a barley wine. Aromas of caramel, whisky, oak, honey, apples, spice. Taste medium sweet, medium bitter, some spiciness and booze but not too much. Medium body, slick and well rounded. Fuck knows what the fucking butthurt Estonians are on about, this is a good beer. freretoc (1935) - Besançon, FRANCE - DEC 31, 2014
