Draught @ BrewDog Camden, 113 Bayham Street, London, Greater London, England NW1 0AG.
Clear dark black brown colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige to light brown head. Initial aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, in the exhalation i get also mustard - horseradish (wasabi). Flavour is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, burnt and hop bitter, light mustard - spicy - horseradish (wasabi). Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
On keg at Brew Dog Camden, Dec ’11, into a tulip style glass.
Pours very dark brown to black, not much of a head on display.
Toffee, pepper, alcohol, maybe a slight hint of chocolate on the nose.
Tastes - an interesting combination, peppery is the main pick for me, wasabi to me is a strong spiced mustard flavour, and I wasn’t really getting this. Also a slightly burnt chocolate/toffee taste.
Flavours improved after each mouthful and having not been particularly enamoured to start with I began to enjoy more as I got half way through the glass, and the fact the beer started to warm up slightly improved the flavour?
Mouthfeel wasn’t great, a bit thin perhaps. Interesting idea for a beer but not carried off as well as I had hoped !

On tap. Dark with a tan head, roast coffee and very bitter chocolate in the aroma, very creamy and spicy in the taste with more of those bitter chocolate and roasty notes. A very interesting beer and very tasty.

On tap at BrewDog Camden. midnight black beer with thin tan head. Very roasty aroma. Lots of burnt dark chocolate. Then in mouth its a smoothish intense stout with roasted edges. It has a certain intense roast and fullness that is pretty endearing. Went really well with the burger. Spicy on finish. Likeable. madmitch76 (24388) - , Essex, ENGLAND - DEC 27, 2011

On tap at the Brewdog Camden. Opaque black beer, good tan head. Softish palate with mild carbonation. Minerals. Smooth dark malt with a little cream. The Wasabi is obvious but blends in surprisingly well as you get mostly wasabi flavour without the nostril lining stripper effect of the real thing! The barman correctly pointed out that as the beer gets toward room temperature there is more of a horseradish vibe going on. Softish finish with a trace of licorice. Interesting beer and I hope the behemoth that Brewdog is becoming never lose their experimental side.
Keg at BrewDog Camden, London. Pours deep black with a soft, tan head. Roasty, dark cocoa aroma. Medium sweet flavor, great roast, chocolate, mild peat. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Sweet, slightly sticky finish, good roast, faint grass and spice, rich cocoa. Really enjoyable stout. yespr (44807) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - DEC 15, 2011

On tap at Brewdog Glasgow. Masterpiece. Aromas of caramel, liquorice, wasabi, chocolate, and hints of smoke. The taste has sweet and bitter notes, and very long length. Palate is syrupy, and full bodied. Black, with an off-white frothy head.
