And this time it is all about the beer, and the beer is awesome! Gone are the 200+ IBUs which brought grown men to tears! Our new Nanny State is 0.5% ABV and focuses on being a great drink as opposed to a great publicity ploy. This beer is now focussed on getting all that is good about BrewDog into a practically alcohol free format. It is a West Coast inspired pale ale with a difference!

The beer has 45 IBUS and is brewed with centennial, amarillo, columbus, cascade and simcoe and intensively dry-hopped with centennial and amarillo. The backbone is provided by 8 different types of speciality malts with only 87 kilos of malt used in a 20HL batch (our Punk IPA uses 450 kilos in 20HL).

Bottle 0,33 from System Bolaget. Dark amber, white laceing head. Nose is pretty non-existent (cold beer). Flavor is pretty mild too, not as hopped as expected. Pine needles, soap. Nothing to back the hops, some malty roastiness. Pretty refreshing, but not exactly a winner. Looks better than tastes.

For a low alcohol beer, this 'ipa' has a lot of flavour! Hoppy and citrus, a good alternative if you don't want alcohol!

Bottle from Pezinska Pivna Pumpa Oh yes! Finally a N/A beer which has some solid hoppy taste and quite a bitterness. I may have new favorite for driving days.

Naturally, it is a low alcohol beer. You can’t compare and rate alongside the same criteria as a normal beer. It has this watery foretaste of low alcohol beer. But by far the best low alcohol beer I ever tasted. Very long hoppy aftertaste. Aftertaste can be compared to the one of a good IPA. If you need a low alcohol beer, a very good one !

UPDATED: AUG 1, 2017 De neus en de eerste slok geeft een fors hoppig aroma maar t blijft niet lang hangen. Het Is een redelijk alternatief voor bierdrinkers die zich ff niet wagen aan alcohol.

Dark amber, almost brown color with beige head. Aroma has some caramel malt and earthy, resiny hops with a touch of orange rind. Taste is indeed watery, as expected, but there are some hop notes on the finish with some dried orange peel and light caramel without any sweetness, just a light to medium hop bitterness. Light body with a dry a finish. Overall for NA beer it’s quite decent.

zapach intensywny, bardzo przyjemny, ziola, zywice, tropiki, cytrusy, karmel, herbatnik, odrobina slodkiego ciasta, kwiaty i lekkie biale owoce. kolor miedziano brazowy, klarowny, piana srednio obfita, stara sie byc trwala, dosc spore, niezbyt ladne babelki. w smaku pelne, lekkie herbatniki, wyrazny karmel, troche slodów, kwiaty, odrobina drewna, zywice, troche tropików i owoców. goryczka wyrazna, cytrusowo tropikalna. odrobine wodniste, ale jak na bezalkoholowe, to klasa. nasycenie wysokie.

Bottle. Clear dark amber pour with offwhite head. Aroma has lovely citrus and fresh pine. Taste is watery but with loads of hops. Very fresh. Not a bad alternative for a real beer. Ends with quite a lot of bitter notes. Very thin and light body. Medium carbonation
