Opaque dark black - brown beer with a small chocolate coloured head. Nose of coffee, chocolate, a little marmite and fruit. Light semi dry palate. Sweet fruit - red fruits. Chocolate, coffee, licorice - aniseed. Finishes with a light touch of alcohol and more vibrant red fruits. Sumptuos, intense, ruinous! Best thing from Brewdog for a while.
A: Black as the darkest midnight.
N: Dark bitter chocolate, rich chocolate mousse, orange peel.
T: Bitter and acidic, but this is absolutely necessary to cut through this squid ink of a drink. Citrus peel. Whisky. Biscuits, Soy sauce.
P: About as full as it can get.
O: It is almost impossible to envisage having two of these in a row, it is that intense. But as a single drink, it is hard to beat. LiretAnonim (245) - POLAND - JUN 17, 2017

Black colour with brown foam. You cant really feel that the beer is 17,2 percent. A lot sweeter than expected.

Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, molasses, alcohol, coffee, chocolate, brown sugar and licorice. Taste is heavy sweet and light bitter with a long very sweet, warming, chocolate and coffee finish. Body is full, texture is sticky, carbonation is flat. mkujon (103) - POLAND - JAN 31, 2017
33cl bottle from ZlyCasy Prague
Pours opaque black with a very tiny head.
The nose is a massive attack of liquorice, coffee, chocolate and some vanilla.
The taste has liquorice again and not much else, but the note is massive. Overall, very good beer. GlasgowTAD (1768) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - JAN 22, 2017
Bottle. Pours deep brown with a burgundy tinge with a medium brown head which soon recedes. Aroma is oxidised, some fruity coffee and coffee. Taste is cocoa bitter, coffee bitter, vanilla, bourbon heat, fruity coffee. Pizd (435) - Merseyside, ENGLAND - DEC 26, 2016
Bottled in 2013, 15.2%. Best looking beer ive seen in a while. Alcohol taste has calmed with aged, instead just adds to the potent flavours. creppyiceman (801) - POLAND - DEC 22, 2016
(bottle 3.5 years old)
Appearance:pitch black,small head.
Taste:sweet, flavour of chocolate, fudge, roasted malt and cocoa, loooooong and intensive dark chocolate aftertaste.
Palate;full body,oily texture,low carbonation,slighlty boozy.
Overall:Obviously the best one out of three versions, thick and intense just as I like my IS to taste.
