I have no clue why this used to be called speed ball.
Appearance was orange with a large white head and tremendous lacing.
Aroma was very subtle, but had notes of licorice and anise, with a hint of black pepper.
Taste was similar to apple juice and sand, very subtle almost to the point of being bland. Little finish.
Medium body. Too light for my taste. cgarvieuk (25992) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 19, 2008

18th October 2008. Hazy brown beer. Unusual flavour. Bitter start - hop and nut bitterness. Leads to a late mid coca cola sweetness. A little honey on the back of the tongue. A bitterish finish. Different!
