Imperial Stout aged in American Bourbon Barrels for 12 months. A schizophrenic translatlantic son of a bitch of a beer. Huge, decadent imperial stout clashes in the most beautiful way with the best incarnation of the American Dream since Nixon choked on a cheeseburger. We think this might just be the best Paradox ever. Available in both keg and bottle.

UPDATED: MAR 2, 2017 One of the best Imperial Stouts I?ve ever tried. Not easily beatable! Shiny black with thin beige head, aroma is chocolate and bourbon. Taste as well, with vanilla and molasses, low bitterness. But the best is the feeling that drinking this gave me: like drinking a whisky there is a very pleasant warm feeling in the stomach, smooth as hell, lovely feeling of drinking some hot chocolate liquor based on bourbon. Astonishing.

Black, small brown head doesnt endure very long at all. Aroma is all chocolate and bourbon. Very enticing. Body is medium to big, higher carbonation than expected - pretty spritzy. Taste is syrupy molasses, liquorice, bourbon, coconut, tacky burnt rubber, not THAT boozy considering, but there is a noticeable alcohol tang. Very good.

33cl bottle. Real black colour with a thin beige head. Vanilla, chocolate, coffee, wood, dates and liquorice in the aroma. Soft to medium carbonation and full body. Taste is a complex mix of sensations, a feast for the senses with chocolate, bourbon, liquorice, coffee and cocoa notes. Overall, a beer that should never end.

Vells (1755) - Rīga, LATVIA - JUN 13, 2015
Huge brew, but bit lacks from best examples of paradox series. Lovely oily, dark sided roast, dried fruits, caramel, bit sharp bourbon, but nice for my liking, vanilla, choco. Quite heavy sweetness with moderate bitterness. Nice treat of a beer

Bottle bought at Bierhalle Deconinck. Vanilla, vanilla, vanilla, bourbon, roast, coffee, thick mouthfeel, very nice, even better than Isle of Arran. Black Eyed King Imp is still the king of BrewDog beers to me.
