Fantastica

Shared at my Summer Plunder Tasting by Brian. A dark cola pour with a syrupy dark chocolate molasses and alcohol heat aroma. Much more umami, much more mellow dark chocolate, rich vanilla and chocolate. Very very sweet dark malt goodness. One year old but still damn good. I enjoyed this one more than the Heaven Hill version it seemed sweeter.

Bottle, 33cl. Opaque dark brown with a minimal creamy tan head. Intense sweet, roasted aroma with strong hints of dried fruits, molasses and alcohol. Smooth and not quite as robust as I expected, with an oily texture and flat carbonation. Extra sweet, though with low bitterness. Very nice dry fruit and dark chocolate character, with a well masked alcoholic finish for 15%. Very pleasant and drinkable for a beer with such ABV, though a touch too sweet for me.

Deep brown color, brown head. Loads of peaty goodness, chocolate, roast, prunes, molasses. A hint of bandaids but not too bad.

I will not be analytic. I’d rather be poetic. This beer made me feel inspired with a positive otulook on life. It reminded me of old new love. Also, sweet, smoky, oily, with noticeable intense but pleasant alcohol. Love it.

Hittade denna under en blöt utekväll i Göteborg. Har för mig att den var riktigt god och rökig ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz. bottle, pours jet black with a small tan head. Nose brings out complex whiskey, caramel malts, and residual sweetness. Flavour is quite sweet and boozy, with very sweet caramel malts, some whiskey, and alcohol. Sweet, boozy and complex. Not normally my kind of thing, but this is nice in small doses even though it is super cloying.

Clear dark brown, minimal brown thick head. Sweetish riasted malts with a hint if ginger and a woody aftertaste for a complex and fully bodied pampering experience
