Keg at BrewDog Camden, London. Pours black with a small, beige cream cap. Rich dark malt nose, lots of chocolate, dark sugars, licorice, raisins, vanilla. Big sweet flavor, lots of dark sugars up front, currants, raisins, then some mellow bitterness, burnt wood, a bit of earth. Full bodied, chewy, with fine carbonation. Warm finish, though not as hot as you might expect, lots of dark fruits, preserves, raisins, prunes, some sugary chocolate, cherry cordials, marzipan, light charred malts. Great stuff. Drinks exceptionally well for the strength. Rasmus40 (21990) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - AUG 23, 2015
