Batch 15, but 10%. Fantastic smooth and mild beginning. Great depth with a fantastic mild and dry malty finish. The wood is there, refreshing and deep with nice whisky flavour there. December 2016 - Bottle share at Leighton’s. Thanks Fergus! As ’BrewDog Paradox Isle of Arran’, 10% batch 16 version. Black, almost opaque with a red hue, bubbly tan head leaves dotted lacing. Aroma is toasted bread, redcurrant, some fabric plasters, light smoke and BBQ notes. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is an interesting mix – spicy and earthy, salty, seaweed, smoke and fabric plasters. Interesting and quite tasty. Probably needs to be a bit bigger to carry the whisky. Decent. Bottle. BBE date Aug 2010; Drank 13 May 2009 - Black in colour, deep red against bright light. Very malty; roast/burnt malts, espresso coffee, dark chocolate, caramel, toffee, hint of liquorice. Tarry & oily, smoky and oaky. Fruity; dark fruits. Vanilla, cinnamon and ginger notes. Alcohol (whisky) very evident. Very, very dry finish. Enjoyed this. Nice Imperial Stout! 33cl bottle shared at Leighton’s. Many thanks to Fergus for this one. It pours a dark copper brown color with a minimal bubbly beige head. Aroma is sweet and rich in molasses bourbon vanilla chocolate and caramel. Taste is medium sweet and medium smokey with notes of barbecue and ashes, caramel. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Bottle at Leighton’s place. 8/12/2016. From the depths of the cellar. A deep reddy brown coloured pour with a halo of tan head. Aroma is smoke, soy, burnt earth, tangy plum. Smooth roast. Flavour is composed of, semi sweet, woody boozy, whisky in the finish, brown toffee, slight tcp notes. Palate is medium full, wood tannin, moderate carbonation. Pretty good.

Light black with a decent tan head that soon collapses to edgeing.
Nose is lightly oxidised, black pepper, herbal, toffee, chocolate, light smoke, subtle barrel.
Taste comprises smoked malts, spice, charr, chocolate dusting, fruit rinds, plummy notes, earthy, cocoa dusting.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light warming alcohol in the close and a boosty kick.
Decent enough peated impy ... has aged fairly well.
330ml Bottle - Black with a tan head. Vinous fruits, plain chocolate and whisky in the aroma. Rich and somewhat grainy taste with plain chocolate, raisins and a hint of coffee standing out. Bottle @cgarvieuk. April Not So Fools Tasting 2014 [Rating Backlog April 2014] Pours brown, almost black, thick it glugs rather than pours with a beige head. Nose is coffee, molasses and licorice.
