Very interesting imperial stout from Brewdog. Aroma of whiskey, leather and somewhat a roasty caramel. A slight aroma and taste of alcohol. Nice brown and thick head when poured in a small 0,2L glass. Of course black. Slightly sweet and small bitterness, full in body with oily and creamy texture. Simply a great beer from Brewdog.

Super sweet and smokey. Very sweet taste. Dark pour with good lacing. Coats your mouth. Alcohol is hidden well. Easy drinking considering this is 15% ABV.

Tap at Brew Dog Camden - 28/08/12. Pitch black with a dirty brown head. The Jura whisky dominates the nose allied to dark roasted malt, mollasses, licquourice and Xmas cake. Tastes of smokey bacon, earth, medicine, sweet sugars, bitter chocolate and whisky. Full bodied with moderate carbonation leading to a sweet smokey finish with a little alcohol burn. Fairly well balanced, certainly in terms of the whisky and the smoke, just a touch to sweet for me!

Bottle at VilleValla Pub. Opaque black liquid with small to medium tan head. Aroma of whisky, oak, licorice, chocolate, biscuit, vanilla, port, dark fruit and raw sugar. Nice, not that boozy at all. Really showcases the Jura casks well. Taste is light to medium sweet and medium bitter with notes of raw sugar, caramel, licorice and oak. Full bodied with medium carbonation and velvety, smooth mouthfeel. I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Jura is one of my favourite whisky makers so maybe it isnt to surprising.

Taste, roasted malt, cocoa beans, raisins, oak, whiskey, peat. Burned wood, whiskey in finish.Lot of alcohol. Nice sipper, surprisingly not so sweet for me.

33cl from Dranken Geers, batch 47, BB 15/02/2017. If you are gonna boost your beer to 15% dont turn into into an overly sugary mess, residual sugar or whatever sweetness is in there just ruin this beer. Brune fonce, col moyen moka.

Bottle at home. Pours a pretty black colour with a medium brown head. Could a beer look better? Both aroma and flavour is extraordinary, and is filled with dried fruits, coffee, barbecue sauce, dark chocolate, chocolate truffles and hints of smoke. Wonderful! Has a rich and soft mouth feel, and a light bitterness. Simply a fantastic beer if you love dark and smokey stuff.

Bottle 0,33l. Pours thick black with tiny brown head. Aroma is oak upfront, sweet whiskey notes, with hints of peat, smokiness. Taste starts with salmiakk, caramel sweetness which is followed by massive pairing of oak and alcohol whiskey notes. These woody notes stick to the tongue and last quite long. Delicious stout, but too much sweetness and wood for my personal taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
