B, Copenhagen. Slightly hazy amber colour with a small white head. Aroma is tropical fruits, caramel, some citrus and mild crisp maltyness. Flavour is very similar in a pleasant balance. Also had it a week after from a bottle from systembolaget, and the bottled one was much more harsh and lacked most of the tropical fruits.

Can 33 cl. Courtesy of joergen. Pours a cloudy yellow with a huge and frothy white head leaving quite some lacework - amazing retention. Very citrusy and even herbal hop aroma. Medium body, low carbonation, sweet fruitiness with dusty and dry hops - almost astringent. A little late sweetness. 100511 omhper (24980) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAY 29, 2011

Initially a freebie at the White Horse but subsequenlty I have paid for this a coupla times at the Rake so defo now a commercial brew. Clear amber beer with a residual suddy white head. Crispish palate, a little dry. Turns to a soft creamy malt base in the mouth - nice! Citric hoppy fresh orange and touches of grapefruit and lemon. Finishes semi dry and minerally with a long bitter aftertaste. Refreshing! The most West Coast UK IPA I have ever tasted. Side by side with regular Punk, Punk X made it taste tired and bitter!! Nor was any of the various blends of Punk and Punk X that the punters were putting together any better than Punk X. The original Punk just detracted each time IMHO. Yes Punk X could stand a little more bitterness but it’s a fine beer and for me clearly superior to the previous version. My apolgies to Punk stalwarts like Harrisoni and Mes&Sim but I have to call ’em like I see ’em!
Draft. Slightly hazy golden color, fluffy white head. Aroma of tangerine, mango, pineapple. Taste is bittersweet tropical fruit. Nice.
