Fantastic fresh raspberries combined with the lovely smokey roasted malt of the whiskey aged riptide, this beer gets better with age and is one of Brewdogs finest creations!

Cask from the cellar at the Rake, Dec 08. The smoke aroma is like the "regular" smokehead, but then the berries move in, the juicy fruitiness playing with the stout and the whisky. Their most daring - and their most brilliant - beer yet, wait for the version of this to be released in Champagne bottles!

Cask at The Rake, 2nd Dec 08 with tashi. Many thanks, Glyn! Tashi came up with the definitive description of this: "It’s a stout kriek, it’s what Guinness and Black dreams of being!" Black with a slight reddish tinge. Intense raspberry/woody/varnish/resin/pine aroma. Leaves tart raspberry hints in the corners of your mouth and a delightful smokiness at the back of your throat. A very interesting Imperial Stout, a real break from the norm. Well done lads!

Cask at the Rake(of all places). Alorund rating: Absolutly outstanding! Smokey whiskey, rasberrys are subtle but fresh and tart sourness is key, the tarness and the smoke are soo good together, you need to really drink it to taste the goodness, my god this really is up there with the best of european brewing. Win on a massive scale!
