At CBC. Poured deep dark brown with a beige ring. Aroma of boozy dark fruit, fudge and roast malt. Full body, unbalanced sugar bomb. Cellar for a few years and it might become palatable.

Draft.A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of coffee, chocolate, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of coffee, chocolate, and roasted malt, leading to a bitter finish.

Borefts Beer Festival 7th edition day 2 26/09/2015. A viscous black stick pour with a no head. Aroma is big honey, caramel , madeira cake, cakey rounded malts and warming alcohol. Flavour is composed of sticky sweet sugars, honey, Madeira cake. toffee and spicy finish. Big solvent alcohol in the finish. Palate is full bodied, sticky, very low carbonation, very sweet.

From tap at Borefts ’15. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma has some licorice, honey, quite some sweetness and a bit of roast. Taste is very sweet with licorice, booze, some chocolate. Too sweet and and too much booze for me. Medium body and carbo.

Draft @ CBC 2015. Pours a dark brown black color with a small tan head. Has a slightly roasted malty chocolate licorice aroma. Roasted malty woody caramel and chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty woody spicy caramel and licorice finish.

On tap at Borefts Beer Festival day 2. Pours a pitch black with a tiny tan head. Aroma has bourbon! vanilla, caramel, honey, coconut, slight roasted malts, sticky syrup, fudge. Taste is sweet with lots of honey, bourbon and vanilla. Slight roasty bitterness and a boozy finish. Milk chocolate. Sweet stuff, but very nice!

On tap at CBC15. Black with brown head. Aroma of honey, syrup, vanilla, chocolate, light chili, alcohol and lots of sweet notes. Taste is very sweet, milk chocolate, big barrel notes, honey and fruit syrup.

Clear dark brown to black beer, small to no head, what is left are just some beige bubbles. Aroma: sweet, alcohol, boozy, bourbon, chocolate, vanilla. MF: ok carbon, full body. Taste: boozy start, soft roast, caramel, alcohol, mocha, dark chocolate. Aftertaste: roasted, boozy, bit sweet, alcohol, roast, dark chocolate. Decent beer, but why all the alcohol? Are we still not past this?
