john44 (3071) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 23, 2017
Cask Pint at The Coronet (JDW), Holloway Road, London in Feb 2011 - Black in colour. Very Malty; roasty malts, bitter roast coffee, some chocolate. Hoppy; earthy hops. Mildly bitter very malty throughout with hop bitterness. Understandably thin, but very full flavoured for low ABV. Very drinkable. (2011-02-03)

cask @ the rake, a long time ago. I remember being disappointed with this one. Too thin and watery and too little taste

thomat (3830) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JAN 9, 2012
Dark brown with a medium tan head. Malty with fruity tones. Malt, coffee, chocolate and hops. Medium body with a nice, bitter sweet finish.

laiti (8374) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 28, 2011
Cask @ O’Hara’s Freehouse, Tampere. Rated on 06.05.2011
Rather light aroma with cocoa and hints of coffee. Flavour has coffee and some cocoa. Rather thin palate. Riptide lite, I’d say.

Ethereal (2421) - Los Angeles, California, USA - AUG 12, 2011
Cask at the Brewdog Burns Night dinner at the White Horse, Parsons Green, 25th Jan 2011. Very black with a little bit of beige head. Malty, chocolatey. Good malty flavours. It’s nice and simple, not too out there. Almost more of a schwarz than a stout.

Bullit (4581) - Burgos, SPAIN - JUN 3, 2011

JohnRMurdoch (4830) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - JUN 2, 2011
Cask @ Blackfriars. Almost black colour, reasonable head. Complex treacle malt & coffee aroma & flavour. Lingering aftertaste. Not bad.

2.7
Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - MAY 28, 2011
Cask at O’Hara’s, Tampere. Opaque black color. Sweetish aroma with coffee, nuts and burnt sugar. Dryer coffeish flavor with strong medicinal note and some licorice. Unpleasantly plasticky and medicinal.

Scopey (14511) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 6, 2011
25th Jan 2011 On Cask at the White Horse, Parson’s Green. It pours near black with very low carbonation and a thin tan head. The nose is chocolate, roasted malt and burnt sugar. The taste is chocolate, some liquorice, brown sugar, a little grapefruit and charcoal. The body is quite light and the finish is fairly dry. I much prefer the richer, full-fat version of Riptide.
