This is the beer equivalent of the big, cute chocolate monster.
Soft, smooth, dark, chocolately and very strong. This gentle giant will never bite but would much rather give you a big lick on the face.

NOTE: This beer and Old World Russian Imperial Stout ARE definitely the same beer. Direct, verbatim quote from James Watt follows.
""This is Rip Tide in a 660ml that we made exclusively for Total Wine and More (a US chain). By offering them something unique we were able to ensure they listed Punk and Hardcore

Bottle @ Chris_o shindig 2007. Dark black color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate malty, milk chocolate, licorice, vanilla. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a little head. Light roasted malt aroma. Flavour is roasted malty with a light chocolate smoothness. But the flavour is immediately taken over by a strange bitter hoppy flavour, slight herbal. Ends mild bitterness with a distinct BrewDog note.

Ungstrup (39285) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - NOV 27, 2007
Bottled. A deep red beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet alcoholic combined with notes of roasted malt and citrusy hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, and hops giving it notes of grass and grapefruit, as well as an alcohol note, that burns in the throat.

joergen (29994) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 12, 2007
Bottle. Cloudy red brown coloured with an off white ehad. Roasted aroma of malts, caramel, coffee and whisky. Roasted flavour of coffee, caramel and whisky. Very dry roasted and hoppy finish.

Warning! Early amateur rating! A dark complex beer. Dry palate and some harshness is offset by fruitiness and sumptuous strength. Sure this was a draft pint !

Bottle. Pretty much black, small brown head. Aroma of earthy dark chocolate, chicory. Taste has bitter chocolate, espresso. Tasty.
