3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at MesandSim’s Wedding. Poured clear gold with a healthy white head. Aroma is nice and hoppy but not the hop fest I was expecting, some citrus, little herbs and spices. Flavour is similar, quite sweet. Would certainly drink again but perhaps the competition was too stiff at the wedding. Nice though. Nothing to report down below.
October 2017 - Bottle share at Magic Dave's Leaving Tea Party. Thanks to the Cad. As 'BrewDog Royal Virility Performance', 7.5%, 'big willy style' beer according to the description. Contains herbal viagra and horny goat weed. Hazy orange, still, foamy light brown head. Aroma is minty, spearmint, menthol, blue ice pop, crazy minty, mint choc chip icecream. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is ginger, cloves, spruce, blue ice pop, mint. Fun stuff. (6-4-7-3-15=3.5) nimbleprop (8949) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - JAN 14, 2016
12oz bottle pours a clear, dark gold with some cloudy, white head. Nose has malt, grass, spice, strangely some raw chicken. Flavor has soap and celery, pepper. Not good. solidfunk (9734) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - JAN 9, 2016
Lots of oxidation and some tobacco. Hazy amber pour with good head and lacing. Lots of malt. Bottle shared at tasting. Travlr (26430) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JAN 9, 2016
Bottle courtesy of iphonephan, thanks! Clear golden color. Aroma of summer fruit. Taste is bittersweet resin. Slightly harsh. Iphonephan (7484) - Jackson Hole/McLean, Virginia, USA - JAN 9, 2016
From a 33 cl bottle at the 2016 DC Nuplastikk tasting. Pours a clear orange gold with a thin off white head. Malty nose. Flavors of grass and caramel. Has aged surprisingly well (maybe better than the royal couple).

330ml bottle from the hallowed Garvie cellars. Pours hazy amber with a thick off-white head. Aromas are herbal, orange, light mint. Taste is sweet, orange, more herbal notes. Dry finish. Held up surprisingly well. IrishBoy (4255) - Bakersfield, California, USA - NOV 26, 2015
My 4000th rating. 330ml bottle batch 001Best before 12/05/12. Nose is resin and toffee with hints of spice. Clear orange with a medium lightly lacing off white head. Flavor is very lightly bitter with toffee sweetness. Still pretty good after 4+ years. Of course it’s more s barleywine now. AshtonMcCobb (7029) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 10, 2015
Appearance - amber and hazy with a nice fluffy head.
Nose - a mixture of marmalade and iron tablets.
Taste - strawberry jam and herbs.
Palate - close to medium bodied with a rich sweet texture and a decent drying finish.
Overall - not the sticky mess I expected it to be, ho ho! GreatDane1632 (1174) - North Dakota, USA - AUG 16, 2015
Rated based on notes taken 11 July 2014 -- Wow, for an IPA that’s 2 years old this beer drinks pretty darn well. Oh yeah and Viagra, I think it breaks down over time. No boners for me tonight. :-( MarkoNm (3013) - Novo mesto, SLOVENIA - JUL 21, 2015
Forgot to rate this one way back. Poured and amber color, topped with a decent white frothy head. Nice retention. Fruity aroma with some herbal presence. Taste starts with some sweetness, followed by a very decent hoppy bitterness.
