A porter of papal proportions, Self Assembly Pope combines a trinity of awesome special ingredients with a complex malt bill, in our latest small batch beer enrobed in exclusive artwork.

Myriad hedonistic aromas of cocoa powder, vanilla bean, coconut, and bitter chocolate, with hints of roasty black coffee and dark fruit, followed by a smooth, velvety mouthfeel and a rich, bittersweet finish.

(can) deep ruby colour with a frothy dark beige head. aroma of coconut shavings and fudge, with some notes of bran flakes, earthy malts and cocoa powder. flavour is mostly the same, lots of roasted malts and more coconut fat, with a light hint of candied cherries, dark chocolate and a semi-dry toasty finish. medium- to heavy-bodied with soft carbonation.

Aroma is coconut, coconut fat, chocolate syrup, bounty, maple syrup, vanilla. Taste is balanced bittersweetness, with much vanilla and coconut in the finish. Chocolatey and smooth. Not bad.

Can. Mostly black, dark brown creamy head. Strong coconut aroma, cocoa, light fatty, blueberry jam. Medium full body, bounty, blueberry, vanilla, light smoke, good milk chocolate. Something for the sweet tooth, but pleasantly balance.

Oh dear. A naughty stolen Malibu-and-Guinness Christmas cocktail of a beer. Out of your mate's parents' cocktail cabinet when you were 15. An inebriated harridan who likes a cigarette twice your age you shouldn't be kissing. Like I'd know. Bourbon, stout and Malibu blended like one of Church End's better shit experiments, amplified. All roast, custard-dappled burnt coconut, dabs of bourbon and lots more coconut. Looks and laces like a proper stout but isn't really. I shouldn't like it but I really do.

Can 330 ml / Amstein - St-Légier (CH). Aroma of coconut, taste of coconut, this beer is dominated by a single component which takes up all the place. It's unbalanced. Emerge notes of cocoa, vanilla and a grassy bitter, but it's boring. And moreover, it's in a can !

On can @Studenterbaren Århus. Pours dark black, with small head. The scent is coconut, and the taste is like Bounty (coconut/chocolate). Over time it becomes heavier, and the coconut disappears

This was described to me as a bounty bar, but whilst I agree there's a coconutty goodness there, it's more of a whole, hard, coconut projected into the face than any confectionery I'm familiar with ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. Dark brown with bronze color, yellowish foam. Strong aroma of vanilla, coconut and cocoa, chocolate, caramel. Taste: chocolate with coconut and vanilla, caramel, sour and bitter finish.
