COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our first small-batch canned release of 2017 is hot off the press and looks an absolute picture thanks to the amazing custom can artwork from the incredible guys at The Red Dress. We wanted to produce something of true decadence, so have packed into the recipe everything that we could think of to raise the body and make a smooth, truly redolent deep stout.

The four key additions exaggerate the mouthfeel and work with the blend of malts, oats and wheat to leave you with a beer that is best enjoyed on those dark, early-spring evenings when the weather is yet to break and the cold still seeps in around the door jambs. The result? In a word, opulence. The aromas start with cocoa and vanilla but it is the flavour that really holds the key to our latest small-batch release. Chocolate milkshake, roasty espresso and mellow vanilla blend into one in a smooth, full-bodied beer that is rich, deep and rewarding.

DruncanVeasey (8603) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - FEB 18, 2018
Can, April 2017. Glossy, tan-necked pitch. Well roasted carob, black bread, milky coffee, semi dried black grape and vanilla pod nose. Slick and silky with a tobacco-stained, scorched toast waft subsumed beneath lovely dark shiny bitter cocoa fruit. Shrivelled black grape and Black Forest notes. Mature and elegant sipper.

dzurek (555) - Szczecin, POLAND - FEB 15, 2018

ERB92 (828) - Bergen, NORWAY - FEB 1, 2018
Aroma of coffee, chocolate, vanilla, soy sauce, licorice and hints of nuts, wood and leather. Black with a tan head. Medium + sweet and medium bitter. Full body with a averaga carbonation. Slightly dry and bitter finish. Overall a very enjoyable Sweet Stout. Quite sweet, but the roasted bitterness balances this brew really well.

rand (1920) - SWITZERLAND - JAN 12, 2018
Can 330 ml / MAC. Black beer with a nice tan head, compact and rather persistent. Aromas of chocolate-cocoa, vanilla coffee, roasted malt. The taste is soft and sweetened, roasted with coffee-cocoa, scented with vanilla, with the flexibility of lactose-oat, notes of burnt, pepper, sugar cane and earth. All in sweetness and depth. Too good for a tin can !

lello4ever (1289) - ITALY - DEC 18, 2017
UPDATED: DEC 18, 2017 Una milk stout ottima, marrone scuro, schiuma sottile frizzantina.

28/VIII/17 - 33cl can from a trade, shared @ Seb's Short Belgium Stay-over Tasting - BB: 11/III/18 (2017-1461) Thanks to Valerie and Neil for the trade!

Clear dark brown beer, small creamy light beige head, little stable, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: sweet, some caramel, lots of coffee, lots of chocolate, pretty roasted. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very sweet, lots of caramel, bit of coffee, bitter touch, sugary malts, some chocolate. Aftertaste: some vanilla, sugary, pretty roasted, coffee, caramel, chocolate, a little too sweet and sugary, but in all a very nice beer. No clue why it was so ridiculously expensive!
