Bottled. A black beer with a very fast disappearing dark brown head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, wood, whiskey, and roasted malt. The flavor is very sweet and roasted combined with notes of raspberries, wood, whiskey, and alcohol, leading to a bitter and roasted finish. Opaque and very dark brown beer. Small brown head. Fruit and mellow whisky nose. Semi dry and crispy palate. Mellow whisky and a little wood. Joins up nicely with the raspberry - blackberry flavours of the tayberries. Fruity finish with mild minerals and mellow whisky. Good stuff!

Bottle at the White Horse, London. Dark brown pour, opaque, with a red-beige head. Nose holds booze, tart raspberries (or tayberries?) and dark malts. Sweet and tart up front in the flavor, then plenty of booze and malts. Medium in body with light carbonation, plenty of warmth and some mild tartness, almost sour. Finish is sweet, with more alcohol, tayberries and mild chocolate. Perhaps some sort of Belgian funk lingering around, and some light roast. Very good beer.
