Bottle. A gusher producing a clear, golden body with an orange tint and a small, dense, off-white head. The aroma is piney and resiny, with some toothpaste like notes and a maltyness. Full-bodied, dry and pleasantly carbonated, with a nice bitterness. Some pale malts too, and also pine cones and resin. Lasting bitter finish. Overall, a quite nice beer, easy drinkable and maybe lacking a bit on the hops. 120622

Bottle from Brewdog.com. Cracking label and a fun concept and it seems that’s what you’re paying over the odds for. Poured a clear dark amber colour with a medium sized off white head. Promising nose of lime, tropical fruit, caramel, hops and a little mineral. A similar yarn flavour wise with a decent balance struck. Maybe vaguely salty. Lingering bitter finish. A tasty beer that nestles somewhere between standard punk and hardcore. TheJestersBeer (2430) - SWEDEN - JUN 3, 2012
Pours a cloudy medium orange, with a beige head.
Hoppy, very fruity aroma, apricot, passion fruit, spruce, caramel, resin, earth, malt, blood orange.
Dry, medium body, high bitterness, creamy CO2.
Hoppy, fruity taste, spruce, flowers, grapefruit peel, apricot, resin, earth, caramel, malt, yeast, toffee.
Very well balanced, yet full of character. Very good.

Bottle from BrewDog’s webshop. Cloudy, amber liquid with medium to big, foamy off-white head. Smells of sweet, fruity hops, cantaloupe, mango, caramel, biscuity malt, grapefruit, resin and some weird salty vegetable note. There was salt added to this beer, right? Quite malt driven for an AIPA. Taste is dry with a light to medium bitterness and a nice malty backbone and maybe some salt. Too low bitterness for an IPA for my taste, but quite balanced. Medium bodied with a good amount of carbonation and smooth mouthfeel. Good IPA, but definitely not worth the price. I prefer the Punk IPA, which costs a fifth of this. rosenbergh (11532) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAY 12, 2012
330 ml bottle. From BrewDog Bar in Glasgow. HHOKXI.crosamich (433) - Twin Falls, Idaho, USA - MAY 12, 2012
Hazy amber colour with tiny off-white head.
Piney and fruity hoppy aroma with moderate bitterness, caramel malt and some sweetness. Flavour is grainy malty with piney hoppiness and moderate bitterness. Salt in aftertaste. Good IPA but not worth the £14 price tag.
A nice, balanced IPA. Malt-forward. Perhaps it is a touch salty but I probably wouldn’t have noticed otherwise, besides the mermaid hairs. The label is pretty sweet but I can’t say that anything special differentiates it from the rest of their lineup.
