Pour is totally carbonation free. Dark color with hints of red. Nose is just divine, smoky, earthy, and sweet. Taste is a bunch of smoke and peat, like a thick glass of scotch. Alcohol doesn’t come through near as much as I thought it would. Mouthfeel is heavy.

11 cl bottle.
Pours clear mahogany red color with no head. Aroma has wood and strong boozy sting, some licorice notes. Flavor is pretty much Salmari but feels way more boozier and unpleasant, strong salmiac and subtle saltiness, strong alcohol burn on the finish. Not a beer, not pleasant, not worth it. The aroma is okay though, I'll give it that much.

11cl bottle at home. Pours a dark mahogany with a thin beige head which dissipates instantly. Aroma of red wine, alcohol, liquorice, dark malt, vanilla, oak, butterscotch. Taste is very sweet, low bitter, low dry but very boozy finish. Notes of dark malt, roasted malt, caramel, liquorice, dark ripe fruit, alcohol, thyme, candy sugar, cough syrup, whisky liquor. Texture is thick, full bodied with low carbonation

11cl bottle at home, split with my housemate. Appearance: chestnut brown with no head. Marangoni effect, or tears of wine, are clearly visible. Aroma: alcohol, butterscotch, slight kahlua, some (dried) fruits. Taste: high sweetness, pretty high bitterness and intense minerality/saltiness. Notes of caramel, lots of licorice, some hops and haagse hopjes. Really salty. Palate: full bodied, rather viscous and sticky texture and soft carbonation. Obviously very boozy. Quite tingly on the tongue, due to alcohol content. Hard to compare and rate. Not very beer like, but quite appreciable and drinkable as long as you sip slowly.

110 bottle from rewdog online shop. Well, this is no ordinary beer! Clear dark, virtually no head, big alcool "jambe' on the glass. Spectacular aroma of malted grain and liquirice, wonderfull, really. First sip is a guaranteed wow scream with a strage expression on the face! Taste is dark roasted malts, liquirice, is stiky, boozy. It's still a beer taste but it's really strong, thats a concentrated stout, like tomato concentrate is for tomato sauce. Nice experience, but 110 is enough for a long while...

LazyPyro (1582) - Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - SEP 7, 2017
110ml bottle. Pours a dark copper colour with a thin yellowy head instantly disappearing. Aroma: alcohol, liquorice, oak, cocoa, malty. Taste: roasted malt, liquorice, dark fruit, oak, huge alcohol burn, dark chocolate. Thick viscous body, very little carbonation. An interesting experiment ultimately resulting in a gimmicky beer, simply way too strong to actually enjoy.

UPDATED: AUG 24, 2017 Well the nose is liquorice and lots of sweet tones. Appearance is very nice. Taste is Turkish pepper and not agreeable. Palate is also not very good. Well impressive that you can make this kind of beverage but it is not beer at all.

Pours a copper brown with no real head. Nose does have some eisbock or barleywine aquavit mix qualities. But really, this is super boozy and not in a pleasant way. Taste is a lot worse.. ultra boozy and just a huge mess. I can appreciate the experiment but the taste is just not pleasant at all. I enjoyed the previous batch a bit more. This is pretty much undrinkable...

Thanks to erzengel for sharing!! Pours a cola color without a head. The smell is very hot and boozey with plenty of peat and roast. The taste also burns with the same roasted malt, and dry peatiness coming through. Medium in body and without carbonation. Not my thing at all - it’s like drinking vodka out of an ashtray.
