Bottle.Dark brown almost black colour with creamy beige head.Aroma is spicy and sweet taste of ginger and cake most like Danish Brune kager.Good mouthfeels and for me the best X-mas brew so fare. Belgo (154) - Køge, DENMARK - OCT 25, 2010
Bottle. Pours black with a nice thick espresso coloured head. The head retention isn’t too good though - hence the less than perfect score for appearance. The aroma at first is dominated by roasted malts and ginger. After a while the cocoa bits start showing up as well. On the palate it is rather light wiht lots of chocolate flavours and a nice hoppy note. Pretty long finish. A very nice beer that I’ll drink again. And for me, that’s a big thing with Christmas beers...... This one stands out as being a balanced beer without excessive alcohol. phredrik (1024) - Copenhagen (formerly Aalborg), DENMARK - OCT 23, 2010
Deep brown, small brown head. Aroma is christmas, pebernødder, ginger, cinnamon, pepper, fresh baked cookies. Taste has cocoa, light body, slightly roasty, roasty sourness, ginger, dry hoppe finish. A really alternative take on a christmas ale. Jaksmart (454) - Aarhus, DENMARK - OCT 23, 2010
Bottle. Dark, dark ruby, almost black pour, minuscule off-white head. Aroma is indeed in the spirit of christmas. It smells like all the good christmas-sweets. Lots of cinnamon, ginger, pepper and sugar. Taste is very similar, with sweet ginger and cinnamon, pepper, cocoa. Slightly sour and with some hops in the finish. Big body, low carbonation. As a christmas beer, this is a very interesting and refreshing brew, albeit slightly off-balance and a bit too punchy perhaps. It is very innovative, and an enjoyable alternative to the wide selection of christmas brews. Defreni (3153) - Husum, DENMARK - OCT 22, 2010

Bottle at home (served way too cold - Papsø temperature - se I will give it a couple of minutes......). Black - offwhite head. Spicy, light ginger, high malty, roasted and light burned malty, cocoa, light body, light notes of cloves. Ok - not too spiced. faroeviking (10838) - FAROE ISLANDS - OCT 22, 2010

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2010 I love this nose! It just punches me in the face, this bottle of christmas. Gingerbread dough, hint of cocoa and milkchocolate.
On the palate is more boring, with less taste. But man, this nose is just great! I could smell it all night long! TheDog (586) - Aarhus, DENMARK - OCT 20, 2010
Bottle from Kvickly 3/40,- Very nice prize. Dark golden brown colour with a very nice beige head. Aroma and taste of dried ginger, cinnamon, cookie and roasted malt. So much flavour and long finish in this low alco. stout. Very nice balanced low carbonation. Nice and I have to buy some more. BelgiskOlklub (1079) - Viby J, DENMARK - OCT 20, 2010
Dark thick hazy black body and brown lasting head with good lacing. Heavy aroma of ginger, coffee and chocolate. Roasted malt. Thick, sticky texture and a bitter finish. The taste is medium sweet and heavy bitter.
