Hark! A limited editon seasonal stout brewed with cocoa nibs and ginger stems.

In the true spirit of Christmas ’cheers’ we at BrewDog have taken it upon ourselves to create a Santas’s little helper for all those battling through the festive season.

Our crack team of elves, penguins and red nose raindeer have been crafting, brewing and perfecting this warming winter stout as a reward for all those driven to the brink and back in the name of Noel.

Now all you have to do is don that customary yule tide sweater and find a roaring open fire to enjoy it by.

In fact this beer is so good, we specifically advise against sharing it with any chimney intruding, night time visitors.

Oh and just remember, this BrewDog’s not for life, it’s just for Christmas.

33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown to almost black with a tan head. Aroma is straight up annis seed, ginger and roasted malt to chocolate. Flavour is dominated by annis seed, ginger and mild bitterness. Subdued smooth chocolate touch. Ends bitter and lasting spiced.

Ungstrup (37889) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAR 30, 2011
Bottled. A chestnut-brown beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of spices - cardemomme and cinnamon, combined with notes of roasted malt, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of cardemomme, roasted malt, wood, ginger, and chocolate, leading to a dry, roasted, and spicy finish.

joergen (28425) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 19, 2010

[email protected] Deep ruby colour with small off-white head. Aroma is spices, wood, some roasted malts, liquorice as well as some slight ashyness. Flavour is a lot of spices, roasted malts, caramel malts as well as some slight liquorice, wood and mild resiny notes.

omhper (25251) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - DEC 25, 2010
Bottled. Near black, small beige head. Concentrated gingerbread aroma. Mid sweet with light-medium body and clean mouthfeel. Spiced to oblivion, this is sheer ginger bread! More bizarre than balanced or drinkable.

Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 19, 2010
Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear black with a reddish hue and a creamy beige head. Very spicy nose, strangely it appears mostly soapy with lavender - not cocoa and ginger. And the hard roast malts don’t really come through at all. Rather light-bodied, again spices with a fairly malt bitter finish. A strange inharmonious spice stout. 141210

Clear brown - red beer. Good tan head. Softish light palate. Mild dark malts - well spiced but not bitter or dry. Somewhat one more dimensional. Mild minerals in the dry finish and more sweet spice in the aftertaste. A heavy handed clunky Christmas beer - expected more of Brewdog than this.
