Hark! A limited editon seasonal stout brewed with cocoa nibs and ginger stems.

In the true spirit of Christmas ’cheers’ we at BrewDog have taken it upon ourselves to create a Santas’s little helper for all those battling through the festive season.

Our crack team of elves, penguins and red nose raindeer have been crafting, brewing and perfecting this warming winter stout as a reward for all those driven to the brink and back in the name of Noel.

Now all you have to do is don that customary yule tide sweater and find a roaring open fire to enjoy it by.

In fact this beer is so good, we specifically advise against sharing it with any chimney intruding, night time visitors.

Oh and just remember, this BrewDog’s not for life, it’s just for Christmas.

Kardemomme? Den smager meget af julekage. Ellers en god sødme, og smagen af jul fortager sig langsomt som man kommer gennem øllen, og bliver god bitter i stedet for.

3/18/2012 3:02:06 PM Bottle from Saveur Bière. Dark brown body with huge head. Nose of spices, ginger and cinammon. Taste is also quite spicy, some malts and caramel with cinnamon notes. Then the ginger kicks in at the end turning into a sweetbread flavour. Not really my type of beer. But can enjoy its uniqueness. There is a BrewDog!

The aroma in the dense light brown foam reveals cinnamon, clove and an unusual scent of brown cakes. The taste has sweetness at the same cookie-like manner. There is also a pleasant taste of roasted malt with cocoa tones in the background. Hop bitterness is long and continuously and slightly ripe fruit in the luggage. Clove and orange peel takes you briefly from the many flavors.

Bottle at home. Pours black, tastes a bit like mince pie. Light fruit, dry spices, a bit thin though.

Bottle at home. Dark brown with a thin off white head. Smell is very my type, cinnamon, spice, Jamaica cake and ginger. Flavour has some more Jamaica loaf or cake whatever it’s called, spicy finish, low carbonation. Would drink again, especially at xmas, I do love a xmas beer at xmas.

Bottle 0.33l from local market. Originally rated 06122011. Colour is dark brown with small head. Aromas and flavours: Spices, sweetness, ginger and malts.

Lilja (3541) - Malmö, SWEDEN - APR 12, 2013
Mörk och skummig. Vattning, tunn och besk. En besvikelse från ett annars fantastiskt bryggeri.

Svesse (8922) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - APR 2, 2013
(Bottle) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty spicy nose with ginger, liquorice, dark bread, ginger biscuits, brown sugar and a touch of chocolate. Malty, spicy taste with notes of ginger, liquorice, cocoa, black rye bread, lots of gingerbread and a certain spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, mainly dry. Brings me back to mom’s gingerbread at Christmas (and makes me sound a bit like Proust...). Quite nice.
