Bottle from Kvickly. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. DArk red-amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter bad spicey flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate. Boring and bad stout. stobbe74 (3789) - DENMARK - DEC 12, 2010
Bottle. Pours a clear and brown beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is malt, sweetness and spices with cloves and cinnamon. The flavor follows the nose closely. The palate is sweetness and spices. Overall an average beer with too many spices and a lot of sweetness. harrisoni (18578) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - DEC 28, 2010
Bottle at Chris NY Tasting 2010. Dark brown. Lasting beige. Quite a good spice aroma. Not wonderful but a cinnamon sting is ok. Fine Archibaldo de la Cruz (1120) - FINLAND - NOV 26, 2011
Bottle. Dark brown colour, off-white head. Spicy aroma with roasted malt. A bit sweet roasted malt, chocolate and spicy ginger in the flavour. Light to medium bodied. Neeskens (328) - SWEDEN - NOV 26, 2011

Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 19, 2010
Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear black with a reddish hue and a creamy beige head. Very spicy nose, strangely it appears mostly soapy with lavender - not cocoa and ginger. And the hard roast malts don’t really come through at all. Rather light-bodied, again spices with a fairly malt bitter finish. A strange inharmonious spice stout. 141210 tdtm82 (1701) - Essex, ENGLAND - DEC 29, 2010
Bottle; consumed @ Chris O’s pre-NY tastings. Many thanks Chris for this. An old bottle I assume.
Aroma is pine; Christmas pudding, burnt toast and melted caramel. Taste is caramel, berries, tart, toffee, chewy malt, spicey and all wintery. Fnish is tart; spices and cinamin. Interesting. I didn’t feel the cocoa but the ginger was probably dried up and disguised as a spice.

5+ Sweet doughy christmas pudding spices, dried mixed peel. A bit sickly.
4 Dark, small off-white head.
5 Meh. Watery spicy taste. Not a stout by a million miles. Looks like the marketting bullshit has crept into the brewing side - this is a gutless beer slathered with caricatured spices. Strangely, I don’t get either cocoa or ginger, which I really like. I’m getting cinnamon and clove, which I dislike. A mess.
3- Fairly thin palate, OK carbonation. Basically only the spices survive into the finish. As I said, reads "gutless" on the beer-o-meter
10 The most positive I can be about this is "drinkable". So certainly not bad enough to throw away, but normally these guys do much better with the dark beers, this has to be one of their worst. Only their hoppy ones have been worse, from memory.
Small bottle. Dark brown body, minimal head. Herbal aroma with a light touch of ginger. Thin palate. Taste is herbal too, with some cough syrup but no alcohol warmth to follow, which in this case would have made it better.
