COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hark! A limited editon seasonal stout brewed with cocoa nibs and ginger stems.

In the true spirit of Christmas ’cheers’ we at BrewDog have taken it upon ourselves to create a Santas’s little helper for all those battling through the festive season.

Our crack team of elves, penguins and red nose raindeer have been crafting, brewing and perfecting this warming winter stout as a reward for all those driven to the brink and back in the name of Noel.

Now all you have to do is don that customary yule tide sweater and find a roaring open fire to enjoy it by.

In fact this beer is so good, we specifically advise against sharing it with any chimney intruding, night time visitors.

Oh and just remember, this BrewDog’s not for life, it’s just for Christmas.

Bottle courtesy of Jan, many thanks Jan! shared with my dad 05.11.10 Pours quite a dark brown colour with light beige head that is creamy textured. Incredibly spicy nose, nutmeg, star anise, cinnamon, it’s all there along with some fine dark cocoa, quite stunning aroma. Cocoa powder in the mouth, dry finish, the taste is good, its chocolaty, malty and spicy but as fine as it is never quite reaches the high bar that the aroma set. A9 A4 T7 P4 Ov15 3.9

Tasted 2011-04-15. Courtesy of Einar, who brought this to a pilsner tasting (?) Pours dark brown. Smells and tastes like liquid ginger bread. (!)

Ruby brown-black with thin white head. Big aroma of ginger cake and slight nutmeg and a hint of over ripe banana. Banana and ginger, slightly flinty middle (from cocoa nibs), with a dry finish.

Dark brown, tan head. Spicy, peppery, gingerbready nose. The taste is mostly the same, but with some vague maltiness and cocoa tones thrown in. Finish is bitter with roasty notes. Aftertaste is dry and peppery. Somewhat watery palate. It’s not something I would drink often, but it is strangely appealing.

Bottle. Pours black. Off white head. The aroma has got a sweet christmasy feel to it. Notes of gingerbread, coffee and clove. Add some coffe bean roughness in the aftertaste and you get the picture of how it tastes. I really like this beer because of its christmasy feel and high drinkability!

Cask Conditioned gravity dispense Wig & Pen Northampton. a dark mahogany coloured beer with an off-white head. Proper Christmas spicing in this. Lots of cinnamon and clove. More restrained in the mouth but still plenty of spice. Ends quite boozy. Lacking roasty malts that you’d expect from a stout, but certainly seasonal,

Flytande mahogny. Pepparkakor, saffran och russin. Bra att skölja ner köttbullarna med i jul. Kommer stå på mitt julbord.

Bottle from Kvickly 3/40,- Very nice prize. Dark golden brown colour with a very nice beige head. Aroma and taste of dried ginger, cinnamon, cookie and roasted malt. So much flavour and long finish in this low alco. stout. Very nice balanced low carbonation. Nice and I have to buy some more.
