Bottled from Systembolaget
Black with a large, off-white head.
Fresh, slightly roasted aroma and flavour with ginger.
Light to medium bitterness and pretty moderate sping makes it a good beer in my palate! RichardW (1813) - Carlisle, Cumbria, ENGLAND - DEC 19, 2010
UPDATED: JAN 12, 2012 Cask, Bacchus, Newcastle. Christmas spices, very reminiscent of mulled wine, didn’t get the overpowering ginger flavour, in fact I wouldn’t have known it was in there, without reading the description and other reviews. A full bodied, flavoursome beer.
Update Jan 12 2011. Just had the bottled version. Cinammon and ginger more obvious in this version. Still a really tasty, flavoursome beer olsvammel (7289) - Örebro, SWEDEN - JAN 9, 2011
Bottle from Systembolaget. It poured a pitch black liquid with a big light brown head. Smel of ginger and lots of it. Taste of ginger, fruits, fruit cake, spices, dried apples and cinnamon. Semi-smooth mouthfeel, medium thick body and a high amount of carbonation. This was like drinking a liquid fruit cake spiced with ginger. Hard to rate but interesting... I liked it. mzaar (3643) - Varberg, SWEDEN - DEC 16, 2011
33cl bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a medium off-white head. Aroma of ginger, cinnamon and coco. Fairly roasty. It smells exactly like IKEA biscuits (ginger biscuits). Flavor is quite spiced with alot of ginger and some cinnamon. Some roasty bitterness too. Quite stout-ish base, spiced with those biscuits. Medium body with soft carbonation. Overall, the first of its kind to me, and quite nice indeed.

Dark brown with a small off-white head. Strong and perfumed spicy aroma with a touch of dried fruits. Sweet roasted flavour with coffee and chocolate notes, and lots of spice. When you know it you recognize some ginger, but it feels like a big mix of spices. Odd and oddly fascinating liinis (1791) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAR 2, 2012
UPDATED: MAR 5, 2012 great BIG merry christmas beer with loads of spices. medium mouthfeel. dark colour with a tan medium head. Round and sweet slightly bitter end Atek (2) - Budapest, HUNGARY - MAR 8, 2012 does not count
0,33 l bottle from Copenhagen, thx for Malaczki. Very dark red color with medium brown head. Smells like gingerbread that made me christmas mood. Spicy taste with ginger and some cocoa, medium carbonated, moderate bitterness at the end. I loved it. imdownthepub (15330) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 2, 2012
Bottled, 330ml from Bellingers Garage, Grove, Oxon. Chestnut with cream head. Heady aroma of spices, leading to rather a sweetish, honeyed, smooth malty beer with a lavish dose of ginger. There is a chocolate element but this is smooth and milky. Not a blockbuster but reasonably decent. weaselkenievil (1609) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - APR 24, 2014
Bottle at home. Dark brown with a thin off white head. Smell is very my type, cinnamon, spice, Jamaica cake and ginger. Flavour has some more Jamaica loaf or cake whatever it’s called, spicy finish, low carbonation. Would drink again, especially at xmas, I do love a xmas beer at xmas.
