14th May 2010. On tap at the Rake. Well glad I didn’t have to go the Tate to sample this very average Brewdog. Saison? Stroll On morelike! Clear dark amber beer. Light but crisp palate turning a little soft. A Weird brew this. It’s a sweet shandy with a soft vanilla edge and then a little ginger leading some grim bittering spice. Just doesn’t hang together. Drinkable but every mouthful jars with it’s oddness. Love Brewdogs continual innovation - but that level of doing something new runs a risk that sometimes it’s going to come up short and this is such an occasion.
