Please note this is the second batch of Tokyo, which is different to the 12.5% first batch.

Intergalactic Fantastic Oak Aged Stout
The irony of existentialism, the parody of being and the inherent contradictions of post-modernism, all so delicately conveyed by the blocky, pixelated arcade action have all been painstakingly recreated in this bottles contents.

This imperial stout is brewed with copious amounts of speciality malts, jasmine and cranberries. After fermentation we then dry-hop this killer stout with a bucketload of our favourite hops before carefully ageing the beer on French toasted oak chips.

It is all about moderation. Everything in moderation, including moderation itself. What logically follows is that you must, from time, have excess. This beer is for those times.

Pours black, I dont know how anyone could say it pours amber or dark brown it defiantly pours black. If you thin it out it might be brown but looking at it in my glass it is a black beer! Smells of chocolate and sugars, maybe a bit of coffee. Taste is smooth for the percent. A bit sticky. Long lingering aftertaste and a bit of burning in your stomache. I had to use a wine cooler to keep this beer cold as I drank it I could not enjoy this warm. A nice and very interesting beer.

Bevuta il 09/12/2017 @MelrosePlace in Romagnano Sesia (NO). Nera con riflessi nocciola. Schiuma marrone mediamente persistente.

Piana niewielka kremowa , szybko opada. Kolor czarny. Aromat gorzka czekolada, orzechy, przypalane słody, karmel, kakao, lekko alkohol w słodki likier. Smak się dzieje, niezmiernie bogaty, zbalansowany wszystko tu gra, perfect. Gorzka czekolada, ciemne owoce, czarne porzeczki, figi, orzechy, karmel, kawa, wanilia, wyraźne pasujące chmielenie i goryczka. Piwo zdecydowanie słodkie, wyklejające, deserowe, w strukturze gładkie, oleiste, alkohol wyczuwalny, szlachetny, komponuje się do całości, rozgrzewa przełyk. Wielkie WOW Bardzo Dobre.

330 ml bottle, at home, bb. 28.11.2026. Pours a nearly black, dark mahogany with a medium sized tan colored head. The aroma is relatively mild with roasted malt, dark fruits, toffee, marzipan, cocoa, some wood, vanilla. Full oily body with a medium to medium-heavy sweetness, a light to medium bitterness, a soft carbonation and lots of alcohol. Flavor of sweet, roasted malt, dark fruits, raisins, molasses, liqueur. Finishes with some woody notes, earthy, tobacco, roasty, licorice. Very alcoholic sipper.

UPDATED: NOV 24, 2017 Aromas of soy sauce, leather, molasses, with some faint dark fruits. Flavor starts sweet and gets sweeter, leather, oak, with the jasmine coming out. Thick and rich, a dessert beer.

Mad Dog Martin (96) - - NOV 18, 2017
UPDATED: NOV 18, 2017 BrewDog bottlebox bottle. The strongest beer I’ve ever had poured black with a brown head. The aroma is cocoa and stone fruit. It’s thick, potent and fruity. Prunes, cherries, coffee, chocolate and malt. Like a warming, prune liqueur. In a good way.

Pours black with a ever-so-slight head that is instantly gone. Aroma is sweetness, booze, fruit and chocolate. First sip is like taking a right cross to the mouth, with an explosion of complexities from cherry to chocolate to coffee and back. Aftertaste is where the burn you'd expect shows up in full force. This is an incredibly interesting beer, but one that fights you. Advise splitting up among several as a dessert beer.
