COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The constant, unrelenting noise becomes something purer than sound – reverberating through every part of you as the eyes rush to take in the pixelated arcade action. It’s all-pervading. Small silver coins are your life-blood, Player 1.
Our most involved beer, Tokyo* is an Imperial Stout brewed with copious amounts of speciality malts, jasmine and cranberries, dry-hopped with a bucket-load of our favourite hops and then carefully aged on toasted French oak chips.
It’s all about moderation. Everything in moderation, Player 1. What logically follows is that you must from time to time, have excess. This beer is for those times.

UPDATED: SEP 8, 2017 Really thick and heavy stout. Loaded with roast, malts, sweet fruits, juniper, cacao, coffee. Very complex and surprisingly subtle for the amount of alcohol. Very good!

January 1st, 2015 - First beer of the new year is Brew Dog’s Tokyo, following the ball drop and some light hearted confetti tossing. I immediately get to welcoming 2015 with this deep black brew, putting my nose into the wide New Belgium brand tulip. Nose furrowed in the beer’s atmosphere, it doesn’t take much time at all to pick up huge heavy notes of strawberry and grape jam on the nose. More digging reveals some aromatic pipe tobacco (cavendish), all paired with a huge alcohol note. Yet more searching reveals raisin and a vinous scent, with touches of blackberry peppered around the edges. It’s a rich aroma, and speaks to what I hope will be an intense and complex flavor. To wit, my tasting notes: "WHOAHHJHJJ Blearghghghggghhg." The flavor is incredibly strong, leading with raisin, but bolstered with dark sherry sweetness. Cherry flavored pipe tobacco and rum soaked cherries come in for another one-two punch on the tongue, swirling and whirling on a foamy palate. Then comes the epic of the aftertaste, coaxing another mouthful with dark, voluptuously cherries and dark honey, mingled with some beet sugar and molasses. This is a whole lot of beer, loud and with a train’s worth of momentum, so make sure this is your last brew of the night.
