COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Zeitgeist is an ideosyncratic alternative black lager It seeks to recreate the spirit, attitude and autonomy of an age gone by. Its inspiration is found more than 200 years ago. Zeitgeist takes an age old classic, a forgotten masterpiece and gives it relevance and an avant-garde edge. Zeitgeist encapsulates our view of contemporary society, yet simultaneously endeavours to improve it. There is too much conformity. Not enough thought, not enough individualism, not enough alternatives. Our military line ups represent conformity to a higher authority, be it political, brand, celebrity, religion or trend. The subjects in our dystopian landscape further seek to repress their identity through uniforms and masks. Yet underneath their body shapes reveal cracks of personality and individualism. Zeitgeist is about identity, non-conformity and idiosyncrasy. It is a collective, an idea, a movement. It is about giving up ownership of itself to those who care enough to listen.

Bottle looks very interesting, beer in the glass dark, small head. Starts malty and dry, some fruity notes of plum. A bit rusty. Finish more and more bitter without being too much. Light coffee notes. Nice beer!

Almost black. Dark, dark brown with hints of ruby. Small white head that fades quickly and leaves no lacing. Big smell of roasted grain. A slight bit of licorice and dates. Tastes almost like a clean coffee, without the typical astringency I get. A bit of a bitter aftertaste that seems to fit nicely. Not sure it its from the hops or the roasted-ness. Im thinking the latter. Nice beer. Seems almost like a stout, but cleaner.

Dark brown to ruby beer. Airy beige head. Roasted, slightly smoky and bready aroma. Some dark malt syrup. Herbal hop notes and some coffee. A hint of pea soup. Malty taste, slighly sour roastedness. Maderately bitter finish. Medium body, slightly fizzy carbonation.
