This draft brew from the brewery poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a no visible carbonation semi-opaque dark cola brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The weak aroma was malty. The crisp mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a nutty brown malt aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of nutty and brown malt. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

This poured a lighter brown with an off white head. Aroma of caramel, grass and nuts. Flavor similar, watery, snoozing.

Draft at the brewery. Pours dark murky brown with a very thin white head. Tastes like roasted nutty grains, burnt toast, light sweetness. Light body and low carbonation. Sweet, nutty, light syrup aroma.

Tap at brewery. Pours cola brown with fizzy beige head. Aroma is cereal and caramel malts, fig, raisins, mixed nuts, and faint toast. Flavor is toasted malts, light caramel, some dark fruit esters, and faint hops; too watery. Light/medium body and low carbonation.

Would be a nice brown ale if this 15 years ago. Standard in every way, medium body, with a nutty sweetness. Texture has a chewy, almost syrupy texture. The base of this beer is good but if the brewer wants to kick this up a notch; they could add a special ingredient like hazelnuts, cocoa nibs or maybe highly hop it. Right now it is drinkable but really is missing something.

Light brown. Chalky mouthfeel. Nose is sought toasty with pecans. Taste is dry and like flour. Maybe some sweetness. Pretty creamy.

A: Dark Opaque/Brown Hue, Passes No Light, Very Mild Off White Head Ring, No Lacing S: Nutty, Mild Roasted Dark Malts, Mild Coffee T: Nutty, Mild Roasted Malts, Mild Coffee M: Poor Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Mild Roasty Flavor Overall, this beer is just flat and weak flavored, a few more pounds of ingredients and some carbonation could make this a really decent beer. Until that happens, pass on it.

FROTHINGSLOSH (8069) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 15, 2013
Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a very dark brown - almost black color with a small foamy tan head that left decent lacing. The aroma was faintly dry and woody. The flavor was dry, woody and a bit roasty with hints of nut and floral hops.Medium length dry, wood and floral hop finish. Medium body. Eh.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of sweet roasted malt, chocolate malt, light vanilla, caramel. Flavor is sweet with maple, chocolate, and sweet caramel malt. A bit sweet but nice flavor profile. 7/4/7/3/14 (3.5/5)
